A less than 1% infection rate is the WORST in the country.
Think about that.
Think about that.
In the middle of Iowa? They were probably low. Iowa city has a population of 76,000. The University of Iowa has 33,000 undergrads. That means the city adds almost 1/3 more population when kids come back to campus and they're coming from all over the place.Where in the article do you see what the number of infections were two weeks ago?
Are so stupid to think the infection rates were 0% two weeks ago?
I reiterate......"Basically the NYT thinks/knows you're all a bunch of gullible minions who don't do maffs."
LMFAO!!!
.
It's not over in the courts yet, but it's over. Students have no right to the information presidents used in their opinions to shut down football. The vote was 11-14, it wasn't even close. They're free to transfer to other schools. That is just one aspect of the lawsuit and only one piece of information being sought.
Where do you see that the judge threw out the lawsuit based on one question being answered?
Link?
The NBA kids are under a financial contract; one they can violate and get financially penalized for. Best you could do is kick a kid out of college and they could transfer to another school virtually unpunished; especially if they're just a normal undergrad. It's not necessarily teh athletes partying that will be problematic, it's the 40,000 undergrads that all tailgate with each other in their apartments for football games they can't attend.Sounds like the schools have a LOIC. Someone get the NCAA involved.
If you can prevent millionaire 21 year olds from partying like the NBA is doing, then you can prevent poor college kids from doing it. But you have to want to.

How about all the people who weren't worried about Covid, failed to act appropriately to stop the spread, caused this season to be the way they are and are now crying about the damage they caused? I understood 3 months ago when dolts refused to wear a mask because "FREEDOM!" that CFB was going to be exploded. How about everyone that is worried about the wittle panDEMic GTFO!

They lost the lawsuit. The B10 officially came out and said the vote was 11-3. The end.
It honestly doesn't matter why the presidents chose to shut it down so long as they voted and more than 60% agreed. their medical experts thought it wasn't safe enough, the end.
I don't have the data to say. But looking at the Iowa state data, you can clearly see the case numbers were hovering around 200-400 cases per day, with their highest case numbers in the 800's mid-pandemic. And since the start of colleges in the state, they've now had a peak of 2600 cases in one day just two days ago. Soooo....without specific data I couldn't say concretely, but the data seems to indicate something changed late August -- the same time Universities started up.Might, May, Could, Probably, etc..
Those types of answers are good enough for gullible libtards, but not for those seeking facts.
"Are so stupid to think the infection rates were 0% in Ames, Iowa City, or Auburn two weeks ago?"
That was the question posed to you.
.
Because it was lost when they filed it, and especially lost when announced yesterday (as required) the exact vote that illustrates presidents overwhelmingly voted to cancel the season. Students have no legal right to the information used to vote cancel the season; especially when the answer is obviously "pandemic".You said they "Lost the lawsuit".
How do you lose an lawsuit that has yet to be ruled on or tossed?
You're once again trying to moon-walk your stupidity. It's how libtards roll when facts are presented to them. It's mental gymnatics. oscar had trained you well.
.
They had until yesterday to answer very specifically the vote. So they did. They were under no obligation to respond to any other aspect of the lawsuit. The B10 voted 11-3 to cancel the season. The end.The judge gave the Big 10 until yesterday to answer the suit.
The Big 10 releases a public statement answering just one of the many questions in the suit and the dumb-ass maze&blew thinks the Husker players "Lost the lawsuit".
It's blatantly obvious maze&blew was raised on bottled water straight outta Flint, Michigan taps.
LMFAO!!!

You can look at the state data, genius. So knowing what I and the NYT's provided to you, that the infection rates are currently 'less than 1%', then how could infection rates have increased to 1% in two weeks?
You stated the infection rates increased to 1% in the last two weeks. That would mean the rates were 0% two weeks ago.
That turned into "something, something, small town".
You're a fucking dumb-ass. You've always been a fucking dumb-ass.
.
Get out of here with this bullshit. You mentioned Alabama. Cases are 1/2 what they were a month ago along with hospitalizations and deaths are less than that. Speaking of deaths no one that is NOT ONE PERSON UNDER 25 has died in the entire State of Alabama and you are espousing that this healthy basic disease resistant group of people cower in fear? Damn let them have fun and contribute their part to herd immunity. What data do you want? There's a pandemic. Universities want to limit the spread of said deadly virus during a pandemic. Michigan State shut down the entire university to prevent the spread. Universities around the country are seeing massive spikes in cases. Iowa has 900 something. Alabama has 1000 something. We don't know the long term effects of the disease. They want to limit contact to whatever is necessary to hold the limited number of in-person classes that are needed. It all seems pretty obvious. The chase for "show me the data" is lame. The data is - two presidents with medical degrees said to the other presidents, "nah fam this is a bad idea to play a kids game during a pandemic" and the other smart people went, "you're probably right".
If football is played, kids are going to party (sanctioned or not) get sick, spread it to other students and shut down classes.
They haven't. But it's over. You know it's over. They lost as soon as the B10 revealed the official vote. They were hoping the conference didn't do something officially, wouldn't give the numbers and the presidents gave them exactly what they hoped didn't exist. SO it's over. They can file lawsuit after lawsuit asking for their justifications, but they have no legal right to it. So its' over.Link to the judge tossing the suit based upon them answering one question or STFU, you flaming idiot.
Yeah, they could only be left with life long heart and lung problems. But as long as they aren't dead, amiright? This is one of the major reason teh B10 isn't playing:Get out of here with this bullshit. You mentioned Alabama. America’s COVID warning system.
The infection rates are at 1.36. At the start of august they were at .99. Cases per week have exploded in the last week, now labeled as critical by their own state. In Story and Johnson county infection rates are 1.71 and 1.72.
You are wrong. Dolt. As usual.
