Cuffing is all about the systems... Some teams have elite running entirely because they have stud backs... If that is the case then cuffing might not mean much...

But if the system and offensive line is the reason for a team to have such elite running, even if they have an elite runner... then the next up mentalitiy is a good one...

Dallas, Minnesota, Saints and the colts are great examples of this...

While the giants, panthers are not good examples

this makes some sense, I just think we all assume who that next guy up will be, when the actual plan the team has is WAY different.

I always look back at what could've been for me a few seasons ago when I was so quick to jump on CJ Spiller in multiple leagues, and then 30yr old Tim Hightower did this......

I know it doesn't look like much, but adding a solid RB2 that had a monster wk15 would've put me into a few more championship games that year.

There lies the biggest problem with cuffing. Many teams decide on the spot who there next man up is. Either that or they do a hot hand committee.

only a few teams have a clear cut hand cuff. And most of those players are being drafted for “stand alone” value.

If you want to cuff the colts ravens or Vikings you are gonna have to pay a premium for it. Very hard to commit to that.

Not really high on any Raiders.
You have piqued my interest tho.
Do tell... explain why I should consider this kid.

I honestly have him pegged for more of a 2021 breakout vs this year, and I'm not big on rookie WRs in general, but Edwards was a target of mine in every rookie draft this summer - got him in all of my dynasties except D2. Traded back into the end of 2nd round/beginning of 3rd round to do it, since I had him ranked as an early 2nd round pick.

fell in the real draft due to injury - nothing else. prob would've been late 1st/early 2nd round pick if he didn't get hurt before the combine.
big body and knows how to use it - 6'3", 212lbs
breakout age 17yrs/8mos....INSANE if you're into the analytics (I know you are, lol)

I don't truly believe Ruggs or Renfrow are alpha WRs, and I have this kid pegged as one.

If the Raiders find a QB that will throw to WR's again, the kid is legit. Like Monkey said, much more likely to be a true #1 WR than Ruggs. But, wasted talent until Carr finds his ball sack, or they get a new guy.

after historic in-efficiency, I was out on Monty this year.

still hate to see someone go down with non-contact injury (or any injury for that matter)

I didn't realize it was that bad the numbers looked similar to LT and Melvin Gordons rookie campaigns to me

Well with due respect. Melvin Gordon’s numbers always appear good hes been vastly inefficient his whole career. Uber ovverarated.

isn't Gordon also known for being extremely inefficient and was fortunate enough to consistently have the TDs to boost fantasy value?

Comprehensive list of RBs I put in LT's range:

damn, y'all beat me to it.

either way, Shefter just reported DMont had a groin strain, and walked off the field, not carted off

could be bullet dodged, or could be something that lingers all year, never know with tissue injuries to RB/WR

not a PT, but I'd imagine he over extended the groin when he slipped. the impact on the ground probably wasn't even part of it.

could be wrong, who knows
