God, please spit that B1G dick out of their mouth for once
they are tested at least twice a week
From what I hear people in the know from the SEC believe that they need the B12 to hold out also. They pretty much expected the PAC and B1G to fold. If you get 3 of the P5 playing then you have a season and they can go to a BCS type model for the championship.SEC and ACC are playing.
They still are the safest kids on campus; it's not like they're leaving. They just aren't traveling around the midwest. We have no idea what the long-term effects of COVID are. This heart stuff is coming out and it's particularly bad, even for young people. So your blanket statement is unknown.
Risk/reward. Someone decided the reward of having students on campus for some portions of their education was worth the increased risk. All students at UM are required to be tested to come back to campus, have to quarantine for 14 days if they leave the state and instead of a Aug 31-Dec 18th semester in person, the in person portion is ending at Thanksgiving to limit the risk of students traveling around and spreading anything. Again, football is entertainment. Then the students shouldn't be back on campus. They should be taking the classes online.
Honestly, I wouldn't care. I'd watch every second of it. But I suspect it's just a matter of time before it all crumbles. The SEC is about the only one I could see taking the risk of the potential shit flinging nightmare they face if they play. All it would take is one little COVID flare up.

Goddammit. Now I'm a fan of 2 has been football programs.
LETS FUCKING GOOOO NEBRASKA!!!
Come play with the SEC and ACC
You keep mentioning how often they are/would be tested... do you think the frequency of testing affects how susceptible they are to it?
Oh yea, im sure the SEC and ACC will hold out for a minute but its wishful thinking. Theyll eventually cave to the political pressure and shut it down
Yep I don't see two conferences playing college football but who knows...as soon as other conferences go down, there will be no point really.

LOL @ B1G'ers in this thread acting like there was never a chance of there being a college football season and that this is all about safety.SEC and ACC are playing.
Sounds like a possible avy bet to me.I give it Less than 2 weeks before everyone will call it quits for the year.
