Lebron playing really bad in the bubble

I honestly don't think he's trying all that hard, at least not in regards to going for his own offense. He looks to be playing in 4th gear (of 6). Now that they've clinched the #1 seed, I expect he'll just coast a bit more doing just enough to stay in game shape while the rest of the Lakers tinker around finding what lineups work best.

The way some teams defend the final play of a close game crack me up.

If you're up 2 then your goal should be to not allow a 3 pt attempt. The 2 can't beat you.

I disagree to an extent.

You play straight up defense. You want to get a stop and win the game.

Obviously you don’t allow a wide open 3, but if you can force a tough contested 3 the odds of winning the game are higher than if you give up an easy 2 point attempt. which teams that sell out to defend the 3 often do.

Looks like the Raps have locked up the number 2 seed.
Orlando or Brooklyn it is.

Would love to see Celtics 76ers in the first round

And if I was a Lakers fan I would hope the Portland doesn't get that 8 seed

Oh and can you believe that Fred Van Vleet went undrafted

Where do you think the back court of Lowry and FVV stacks up ?

That's what it looks like to me. Every once in a while during the game, he dials it up a bit.

But mostly it looks like he's trying to make sure the other guys get comfortable and on the same page.

He's also making sure to try to get AD going early. Yesterday he took 14 first quarter shots. He usually takes about 17-18 shots a game.

btw, it's amazing how Jordan Clarkson can shoot you right out of a game...

Good player but very inconsistent. He doesn't provide anything but bench scoring. Some games he can put up 20+ or give you a 2-15 night. He's never had a good 3 ball and shoots a low percentage. It's why he will never get a big, long-term deal...too inconsistent and doesn't play good enough defense to make up for it.

Yea

Dude was carving up NO in the first game and was straight trash last night.

I'd also say Kuzma doesn't seem to have gotten any better since his rookie year.

I've seen this plenty of times at the end of the season but regardless his jumpshot doesn't look the same. You never know with him though, he can turn it on for the playoffs...I just think this year more than ever he will need his jumpshot. He can still averaged 25 and 10 in the playoffs but they will be lethal if he has that outside shot...especially since the Lakers don't shoot the 3 ball well.

I think Kuzma has improved defensively, offensively he is that consistent as well. Clarkson never has been anything special defensive wise.

He shot 36% from 3 as a rookie and is a below league average guy this year.

You seem to be trying to compare Mahomes and Jackson based on only last years regular season. Yes Jackson had the better regular season. But overall Mahomes has had the better career so far. That's not debatable. Jackson's damn good. But between the two right now I'd rather have Mahomes.

The Top 100 is literally named the Top 100 of 2020 and is completed annually and polls the players.

Last year essentially IS Lamar's career, as he only played a portion of his rookie year. Mahomes has been in the league a year longer and got a redshirt season basically his rookie year.

Let's compare each QB's first full season:

Jackson 15g, 13-2, 66.1%, 3127 yards, 7.8 Y/A, 36 TD, 9.0 TD%, 6 INT, 1.5 INT%, 113.3 Rate, 81.8 QBR,
1206 rushing, 6.9 Y/A, 7 TD, 9 FUM

Mahomes 16G, 12-4, 66.0%, 5097 yards, 8.8 Y/A, 50 TD, 8.6 TD%, 12 INT, 2.1 INT%, 113.8 Rate, 80.4 QBR,
272 rushing, 4.5 Y/A, 2 TD, 9 FUM

Glaring differences? Mahomes threw for more yards and TDs, but at the same or lesser success rates. Lamar ran a lot more with much better production, yet Mahomes had just as many fumbles. It's nowhere near as cut and dry as the NFL hype machine wants you to believe.
