MHSL82, why didn't you tell me there was a 1.5 hour pregame show on TNT?

Usually there's a 1 hour pregame show.

I just checked to see if I had set the DVR, and saw there was a 1.5 hour show. I missed a lot of the banter.

Hopefully they repeat whatever banter and views on the current NBA that they have, later on the postgame show.

Also, basketball wouldn't really be back if I didn't discover something that @MHSL82 already knew all along but didn't tell me, because he knows everything.

Not to worry. 11 minutes left of the pregame and they havent talked about the games even once. Hour and a half of political dis usion.

Thanks.

Kind of glad I missed the political discussion. I want today to be as much about sports as possible.

I barely get to see any of the games, even partially, let alone games. In my experience of watching any pregame, they end up repeating everything a couple times, previewing things, etc. I doubt that you missed anything. You add in the fact that there was a lot about societal matters, you’re not going to get much about sports.

I know. It's just a running joke, every time I find something that surprises me. I joke that you knew that before I did.

Pre-game banter is ok, I think the worst banter is always the postgame show after the last game of the playoffs. They try and predict who will be good next year, before any offseason moves or the draft has even occurred.

Rudy missed the first free throw of the game.

Rudy, do you want to be to be on your tombstone? That you missed the first free throw of the restart? What else would you be known for? ;)

You've got to make your free throws!

I can't completely kill him for missed free throws, because he did make a big pair late. Even though maybe he wouldn't have needed to make those, if he had made the first one of the game.

It was cool how he also scored the first field goal.

But what was that in the 4th, a turnover while bringing the ball up the court? Either don't turn it over, or pass the ball.

And Joe Ingles, what are you doing making so many offensive fouls? If Karl Malone isn't allowed to make offensive fouls, then neither are you.

Conley looked the best I've seen him this year.

The Jazz offense is really good. Good drivers who can score in the paint (Clarkson, Conley, Mitchell) and good 3-point shooting (Conley, Clarkson, Ingles).

The defense is ok, but still needs more work to really become historic great. That's what the goal should be, if they want to win a championship.

Actually, they're the 8th ranked offense, and the 11th best defense, so their defense isn't really all that good, for championship standards.

I'm glad the Jazz won, but the fact that they blew a 10 point first quarter lead, is still upsetting. This should have been a game they turned into a blowout, to prove how good they were. They've got to figure out how to get easier wins.
