People say big time players play their best in big time games. I think the same thing goes for the teams as a whole. You saw the first game go down to the wire, and LSU kick a field goal in OT to take the win. 60 minutes wasn't enough time to decide a victor in the first meeting, this makes me wonder if it will be enough in a rematch. Some people find that kind of game to be boring, but others see it as a nail-biting, defensive war, it all depends on your preference.

I personally enjoy great defense, and I consider this game to be one of the best games I've ever watched, and I wouldn't mind seeing a part 2. This time, for all the marbles.

LSU is has dominated everyone they've played, except Alabama. I personally think they would dismantle Oklahoma St. Their all passing and no defense isn't gonna work well against LSU's secondary and power running game.

I would rather see a game I know for a fact is going to come down to the wire, rather than a game that will likely end like the last 5 SEC vs non-SEC National Championships.

These are just my opinions, so please don't get all pissy. If Okie st. gets into the title game tonight, then I say good luck to them and congrats.

Some of you may really not watch it, but looking at the votes in poll - I'd say there are a bunch of liars who voted.



OSU lost to Iowa State... IOWA STATE. Also, not having a Big12 CG hurt them as well. That extra game could have put them over the edge. Better luck next year.


I think a OSU-LSU game would look a lot like the SEC CG, minus the first half.

I didn't want a rematch either, but the goal is to place the two top teams. Despite their efforts, OSU was not one of them.



You can thank ESPN for this one. First because of their bitching a few years ago about not getting a Michigan/Ohio St rematch, and this time from pushing the idea of LSU/Bama since the game ended in Tuscaloosa.

You can't/shouldn't hate on the SEC, LSU or Alabama for this one. The only ones to blame are the voters and ESPN... I don't think you can even blame the BCS for this rematch. ESPN & the voters decided not to put OSU at #2, if they had, Okie jr would have been #2 in the BCS too.

It's not about how the LSU nation feels. I don't think Alabama should even be there, but this is not the YMCA league. The system is set up for the champion to be the winner of the nc game. The system sucks. Clearly it needs to go to a playoff system. But under this system that is how the champion is crowned. Win the game and you're the champion.

I didn't want to see a rematch either, but put yourself in their shoes...


Their only loss came against the only undefeated team in the nation, and it was in overtime in a game that many came away from thinking that Alabama was the better team.




And again, you can't blame the BCS either, the computer rankings for the BCS put Oklahoma State at #2 above Bama. It was the coaches from the USA Today Coaches Poll, and the people who vote in the Harris Poll who put Bama in the NCG.

If the majority of these people thought OSU was the best or 2nd best team in the nation, then Bama would not be in the NCG.


The flaw is where it has always been, before the BCS, since the first NC was crowned, PEOPLE.

The BCS was also designed to never have a split NC (its in their mission statement) and if bama wins a close game LSU will have a pretty good argument for one.
