I get that but I'm saying the thread would have to be in the PF but can't you permaban people from a specific thread?

Just set the rules and say hey all are welcome but anyone who steps out of line will be banned

If it's too much work for one person I get it and you know people will cry about it but seems like one semi reasonable thread can exist. There is one sparhawk started that has been modded to keep clean.

They'd have to add more mods for the PF to handle that. Not sure that's something they want to do.

Other boards doing something like we had might actually be the best option for those that don't want to post in the PF, because it can be moderated by whoever moderates that board.

I'll be surprised if things are just left status quo. The PF is usually a cesspool anyway, but with all of the stuff going on now, it's even worse.

But, who is the "backwards thinker" depends on which side you're on. There are plenty there who will say that you're the backwards thinker.

Exactly. It's both sides doing it too. It's ridiculous. It's why I've pretty much had my fill of that place for a bit.

Even when you get into an actual intelligent discussion, someone comes along and fucks it up.

Here, among us on the NBA boards, I'm honestly not sure what is left to really discuss as far as the politics of all of this. We all know where we each stand, we all respect each others opinions and barring something completely unforeseen, none of us are likely to change our positions.

Besides, as the re-start gets closer, we'll have more and more basketball to argue about (Thank God).
