Only team with players opting out due to a positive test and Wilson Chandler excuse was lame as well if you ask me

I know this is your second team, so disappointing for sure.

But I am actually shocked more non-contending teams don’t have this happening.

Because most guys aren't a bunch of raging pussies. And the others need the money. And maybe...just maybe can see further than two feet and know the CBA would take a dive

Yeah, that isn’t right.

In these times, people have to think about more than themselves. Many don’t “need” the money and their teams shouldn’t be there anyway. On top of all that, you have no idea about personal concerns individual players have.

The season is going to go on with or without teams like the Nets. They aren’t needed.

Players were ALWAYS going to opt out of the restart.

How many are out so far? Like 10?

People who are criticizing these players really need to get a grip on reality. Every player is going to make the choice that is best for them. It is a difficult equation with a lot of factors. The vast majority are going to play. And yes, some guys have a lot more to play for than others.

But it is flat wrong to criticize players who opt out. Regardless of what they say publicly, we don’t know all the factors that go into the decision. And it isn’t our place to judge.

Notice how minus Claxton the guys truly affected by this decision are playing? You think if Dinwiddie had a deal coming in two years he'd even consider sitting out? I don't.

DeAndre Jordan specifically cited spending time with his grandmother.... Look if he's seeing any bit of the outside world (or her for that matter) they aren't doing it right already. Family matters. I'd never dispute that but these guys live a life on the road already. They've spent over three months with the fam as is.

As I've said at end I take real issue with the optics behind the "health and welfare" argument as millions of Americans don't have the luxury to "sit out" from work. And they definitely don't get a bubble with high tech rings and catered dinners and the lot.

So if the whole league went the Nets route you'd have some seriously disillusioned fans

I have said nothing about WCS or Bertans. I take issue with a clear unified attempt from the Nets. I'm definitely coming away from this with no love whatsoever for that team. And I won't be the only one.

And had more of this been contagious within the league we'd have some big problems on the horizon

But they aren’t.

Because overall, the incentives are overwhelmingly in favor of players opting in.

So when a few guys go the other way, I’m not going to judge them.

And yes. I do blame the league for inviting too many teams.

Revenge was mine.....I curled up next to her and she shrieked, "you're cold!"

Usually, I am warm and she is cold.

Honestly, for me it depends.

A guy like Javale McGee (who is apparently playing) who apparently has asthma...no problem. Or the guy (forget who) that isn't playing because he's expecting a baby in July...also no problem.

If a guy like Dwight, who was questioning whether or not they should play because of social justice, was to suddenly say "I'm not playing because...family.

That would seem a bit disingenuous.

Like I said what's happening with the Nets smacks of an organized effort and for that they get shit on from me.

Believe it's WCS that is having the kid

Was thinking the same and I don't gamble. Not even in tHoop bookie. lol

It's just going to be such a weird season. With only 60 games, it'll essentially be a pennant race from game 1. What if a favorite like the Dodgers or Yankees gets off to a slow start...they may not have time to recover.

Especially if someone else gets off to a hot start.

For someone with $1000 to spare...that wouldn't be a bad bet. They're the type of team that could get hot and do some damage.

Plus, aren't they already in Orlando? Thought I heard that.

Heck, I'd be tempted to put $100 on the Spurs just because of Pop. lol
