My biggest aversion to VT is that they are sort of the worst of both worlds between Bama and OK State. VT has a slightly above average loss ( 9-3 Clemson is OK) but VT really doesnt have a truly good win. I mean off the top of your head what is VT's best win?? Same thing for Stanford. Im Ok with a 1 loss team playing for a title if they have a really good loss OR some really nice wins. Id prefer the wins over the loss because the wins show me a higher upside. I get that its all opinion but it shouldnt be. I listened to Mel Kiper on Mike and Mike this morning talk about how we will never know for sure which is the best team without a playoff so we need to base it off of body of work. I thought to myself " Self, that is exactly right. We dont need opinion. We need to base it off the season on a whole". Kiper then proceeded to tell me thru the radio that he had Alabama number 2 because his gut feeling was that they were one of the top 2 teams LOL. So much for body of work. It is really surprising to me that so few analysts, writers etc have made a stink about this. OK States resume is better, it just is, I really havent even had any Bama fans tell me Im wrong on that other than to say that Bamas loss is better but who fucking cares about a loss?? Tell me who you beat. I could get a team to go 0-12 against the top 12 teams and it doesnt mean Im the 13th best team in the country.

while i and other hokies appreciate the thought...i think the same argument that people are saying about Bama (who have they played and beaten) could be said 2 fold about us. yeah we're looking really good right now, and who knows maybe could put up a good fight....but
