I didn't get her logic at all. Well, I guess I sorta did. But she should have realized her logic was dumb. Ben sucks. Ben ain't winning shit. You keep Ben around. She blew it.

Overall, pretty good season but it'd be hard not to have one considering the cast. Last few episodes didn't really have the drama imo because it became apparent to me Tony was gonna win. Extinction sucks though. I hope its retired.

it was an ok season... i hated the Koombaya at the end... the whole season seemed to be too much about their outside lives being friends...

I will add, every season, you always hear that WE VOTED YOU OUT BECAUSE YOU WOULD HAVE WON THE GAME... so if the winners believe this, does that hurt the logic of this season being the best of the best??

I'll also say.

Sarah trying to boost her resume getting rid of Ben cost her 2 million imo.

If Ben stays its Ben, Sarah, Tony and Natalie. Sarah wins immunity...final 3. Natalie wins immunity, shes bringing Sarah to get Ben(elite at fire) to beat Tony. Tony wins immunity....pretty certain he brings her. Ben wins immunity....definitely brings her

Now there is a solid chance that Tony beats Natalie in fire in the final scenario, but even then him and Sarah woulda been a good tribal

Why were Michelle and Nat so obsessed with getting rid of Ben?
Their plan should have been to cut Sarah loose, then keep Ben to beat Tony at fire.

Natalie knew that Tony had the best chance of winning the game if he got to the final.
She had a sure-fire (pun intended!) way of eliminating Tony by beating him herself in the fire challenge, so I agree with Boston Rob.

If Natalie eliminates Tony in the fire challenge, she's a no-brainer to win.

Lastly, Ben and Sarah had no interest in winning $2M.
Ben knew he had no shot, so he took the 'high road' and essentially quit to push Sarah.
Sarah would have been happy to sit next to Tony at the end, even though she knew she couldn't beat him.

Sarah V Tony woulda been closer than you think imo.

The jury loved her as well.

Tony should and woulda(imo) won against anyone. But Sarah coulda taken some of his votes forsure.

She just really needed Ben around to take Tony out for her in fire. Keep her hands clean. Then shes got a killer case vs Ben and Natalie.

Also..........her and been shoulda listened to Tony about the idol. FOOLS.

Best takeaway from last night is that it “appears” they are planning on a Fall session. How that manifests itself remains to be seen but it seems Survivor could manage social distancing to some extent better than other reality shows.

Apparently they may film it here in the US? Idk. Feel like you could do it on a remote fiji island pretty easy. Im sure if they start filming in june they could definitely have it ready for fall tho.

Also............whats with the 16 year olds being able to apply??? Not trying to watch a children season.

Might be interesting to have Survivor in an artificial environment inside a dome.
There's a lot they could control and if it requires 20 contestants and say, 50 crew, they could remain isolated and COVID-19 free.

I liked the season. Nat took a lot of heat on Twitter last night saying she didn’t deserve it if she won. Maybe not, but she doesn’t make the rules. Sarah voting Ben out just blew my mind. I know the reasoning of Nat to vote Ben was fire, but if I wanted the 2 mill I would want to sit by Michelle and Ben. . Tony got super lucky IMO with the fire thing. How Sarah’s didn’t burn through that rope that first time was crazy. Nat must have pissed them off. I thought they - Sarah and Tony- kind of treated her shitty before she chose who to make the fire. Poor Michelle. I felt terrible for her having to watch the voting at the end. 17 votes and she didn’t get one. During the jury questioning, I thought Wendell helped her some as it seemed like many were just talking to Nat and Tony. It was a great idea - Winners at War. Makes me wonder who declined the invite out of the other 19 winners, before they got their 20th.

I did want to see the conversation between Tony and Sarah after she voted Ben, especially after Tony was right on the idols the tribal before. Did anyone notice any weight loss. Of course the reunion wasn’t much so you couldn’t really tell if anyone fattened back up. The only one that looked to me like they had lost weight was Ben. He looked frail at the end.

Tony was definitely a lot skinnier

Richard Hatch was invited to go and he accepted however, the show later rescinded the offer. Nobody knows the true story but it was reported that they didn’t want him walking around naked. The show was concerned about what would happen given the stuff involving Dan. I saw a you tube video about it if you wanna search there

Rob’s bullshit at tribal towards Natalie was just sour grapes on his part. He was just butt hurt that she kicked his ass out there.

I don't think they are gonna have one in the Fall. Typically the Fall seasons would be filmed right now (late Spring/Early Summer). If they can get out to do something, it's probably gonna be mid-summer at the earliest to film. Usually the winter premiers (like this past season) film in the late-summer so I'd guess that would mean a new season would come around some time early next year. They could rush the post-production and maybe get it out in early Nov or so but they typically don't want shows airing during the holidays (that's why the Fall seasons always wrap up before Christmas).

From the way Jeff sounded, they hadn't even settled on a theme, just had ideas. If they did a have theme, I would have thought they would have told what it is and just said something like "Here's what we want to do. Can't wait until we can get back out there". So they are still in a pre-production phase, meaning they still gotta pick a theme and then cast to fit. That's a multiple month endeavor before they even start filming which is now complicated because of travel concerns (not just internationally, but getting people to cast)

So TLDR, I'd be shocked if its back in its normal Fall slot. I'd say early 2021 at the earliest

Don’t get me wrong - the cast was great. There are just a couple of others that I thought would have been really good.

That's been my thinking all along. Unless they could get rolling by the end of this month, I can't see anything happening this fall either. I just caught his comment last night... and he sounded "optimistic". We shall see...

An interesting note in post game interviews is handful of people said they were close to voting Michelle.

Nick, Adam, Wendell and Danni all said said along the lines that they really wanted to vote Michelles way but they knew Natalie was getting a few votes at least and did not want to risk Tony losing because of it.

The final 5(pre Natalie) all had exit interviews too where they all took little subtle shots at edge of extinction.

Nat dominated EoE. Congrats to her.

But she was the first voted out. And had a HUGE advantage over the later-arrivals due to her accumulation of coins throughout the month.

The players on EoE had it rough, sure. But they didn’t play the same constant pressure social game as the players “still in the game”. They had to walk on egg shells with all their co-players to try to avoid getting voted out (a fate Nat already experienced). On EoE, the only competition between the players was the semi-daily competitions. There was no social competition at all.

I understand Michelle not getting any votes. At least based on her edit. She played a fine game, but it paled in comparison to Tony. I guess I understand Nat getting some votes. Even though she had the longest run on EoE, she still DOMINATED that side of the game. As BS as I think that side of the game is, you gotta respect dominance like that. But Tony dominated this game. He had a solid core alliance that had his back. He made solid social connections with everyone. They even respected the fact that he voted them out without pissing any of them off.

As for Ben, I actually don’t mind his decision or Sarah’s play on it.

He recognized (in his POV, at least) that he had no chance to beat anyone in the final 5 except MAYBE Michelle. And you have to be able to beat at least 2 other players to have a chance. Therefore, he figured his best way to get his most favored result was to help Sarah win. So he offered himself up to her to help her game.

Sarah also recognized (in her head, at least) that she was not going to beat Tony or Nat in a jury vote, and one of Michelle or Ben were going to go, so she too, as it stood, had no chance to win. So she needed to throw a Hail Mary. She needed to change her story, and taking Ben up on his offer, while probably not enough (by doing that, she broke deals with both Ben and Tony), it was SOMETHING. So she tried. Staying with ousting Michelle might have improved her chances of getting to the final 3 but would not have gotten her the win.

Unfortunately kinda all over.

Exit interviews with EW.

Exit interviews with Rob Cesternino's podcast.

Nick said on instagram his voting confessional was something similar to "I came into this leaning towards voting michelle because she is my best friend in the game and am stunned by what she accomplished. I know what its like to fight from the bottom and making F3 is impressive. HOwever Tony played the greatest game in survivor history. I cant base my vote on who deserves second place. Tony has to get my vote. He earned it."

The interviews all touch up on the fact people were worried throwing Michelle a few votes would end up giving Natalie the win.
