What UDFA named Burgess did we sign?

Essang Bassey, CB, Wake Forest maybe? Terrell Burgess is a S but he was drafted.

You are correct - I meant Coleman - not burgess

I was randomly thinking...

The last time we took a WR in the first round there was a heavy debate if we should take Demaryius Thomas or Dez Bryant. We took Thomas despite most having Bryant as the #1 WR in the draft, Dallas took Bryant.

This year the debate was between Jeudy, Ruggs and Lamb. Ruggs was gone so no option there, we take Jeudy and who gets the leftover?

The Cowboys again.

After the Broncos took Lynch - the Cowboys got that leftover QB Dak there is a real trend. (so far the score is 1-1)

A little different. That was 3 rounds later. I don't think there was much debate about Paxton vs Dak in Round 1 back in that day, like there was Bryant vs DT and Jeudy vs Lamb.. but there should have been. ;).

Kubiak wanted Dak in Round 2

Yes but, they were consecutive QBs picked and the Cowboys were upset they didn't get Lynch = while the Broncos considered Dak.

I hope I’m proven wrong - I’m thrilled to have Jeudy, but still believe Lamb has the higher ceiling.

So - who would you have drafted between the two?

I’m glad I didn’t have to make that decision! At the time of the choice, I wanted Lamb. But I don’t have all the inside information and so I’m choosing to believe the team did what is best. I REALLY like Jeudy so it’s hard to be too disappointed.

I’ll give it to you since we know Dallas wanted Buston Lynch.

Good problem to have:

Lets say that our 6th rd OG winds up being better than one (or both) of our existing guards. Who do you trade/cut?

Our positions would be slightly reversed if the Broncos had taken Lamb. Jeudy gives the Broncos a weapon they didn't have, but Lamb would be a 2nd Sutton - the way I see it. I would have loved a 2nd Sutton, but the utility of what Jeudy brings makes him a better Denver Bronco fit at this juncture.
