Do the Cardinals now get snubbed (or did they get snubbed) for MNF? I felt that was the whole reason they were even gonna be on it was because of Mexico City, which has been MNF three of the last four years.

Nobody is getting snubbed.

First right thing NFL has done in a while cancel the international games forever, that should be the next step.
The London games were fine at first as a once-a-year gimmick but it hit overkill, especially when it's on at 9:30 a.m. on the east coast for what's usually two mediocre teams.

Steelers/Cowboys in Mexico City as the two most popular teams down there would've been cool, though.

Maybe if they did one game per year in London, maybe it would be justified. But now that they have multiple London games, its just ridiculous. Asking a 3rd of the league to make that long trip while the rest of the league gets to stay state side is just nuts.

The planning definitely wasn't the greatest. It was right when the novelty of them playing in London was wearing off that they doubled and tripled down on it, then it just sounded like a hassle.

I still think if they want it so bad, they should just bring back the NFL Europe.

How exactly would the be getting snubbed?

Once again, I don't understand the rationale behind this take.

He’s saying he doesn’t believe Kliff and company will get a Monday Night game without it being in Mexico. Not sure I disagree although i wouldn’t really call it a snub.

Not playing on MNF should be considered a reward and not a snub. ESPN has ruined it.
As for international games, they all should go away forever, imo. Along with that, all MNF and TNF games should go away. Put a Saturday nighter on and the rest on Sunday. 2 prime times are plenty and the short weeks and long travel to "who the fuck cares" Limey London is a farce.

Maybe you can be the dedicated Brees translator.

However if that is his take, it is ridiculous. They have one of the most electrifying QB's coming off ROY and they pulled off the heist of the offseason by picking up Hopkins.

Personally, as a cards fan, I would rather them fly under the radar if they start to turn the corner. I prefer they play all Sunday games.

I understand your take, you just also should consider a Cardinals-Lions or Cardinals-panthers MNF game might not have that mega appeal some other games would at least right now. A lot of it is because of their record the last few years. Add in your division is probably the toughest in football.

Again I wouldn’t call it a snub, but it may have been their only chance to be on MNF this season. We’ll all find out tomorrow.

Sunday games are probably better for them. Revving up the spotlight doesn't typically work well for young teams, but then again could help prepare them for the playoffs (although that may still be a year away or more, the NFC West is back to being tough top to bottom).

I agree with the International crap (and the Thursday games). MNF is fine, and a one day difference as a "short" week is minimal IMO.

This sounds like the Browns last season. Baker coming off a great rookie year and picking up OBJ lol...just saying.

The Browns got too much exposure...like you said, the best thing for your team is to keep them under the radar. Good thing Hopkins is pretty much a quiet guy...OBJ has a big mouth.

It is very similar to the Browns last year, which is why I prefer to proceed with caution. I think another difference is the way Murray carries himself compared to Baker.

Taking a home game away from season ticket holders is the wrong way to approach this. Maybe it's OK for teams that cover a lot of seats because they can't sell them, but for teams that sell out every game with paying fans, it's a slap in the face to local fans and just a way to give more revenue to TV networks.

I'll pass on that.
Give me Sunday football and a Monday night game and I am good. Drop Thursday Night and all international games except maybe 1 every couple years. What a bummer if your team is good and you'll be fighting to win a tough division. However, 1 of your home games is 4000 miles away, so not any home field advantage.

Yeah, my short week reference was more about the Thursday crap than anything. The only thing they could keep imo is Thanksgiving but only 2 games and make sure the teams are coming off byes. The NFL has even ruined that day by saturating it.
As for Monday night, my beef has more to do with how horrible ESPN is and has been for a very long time.
