Still the exception, not the rule.

But, it's happening way more frequently than some want to believe.

Everything we THOUGHT we knew is ever changing. How on earth can people believe there are definitive answers about a virus we didn't even know existed just 4 months ago?

EVeryone, everywhere stay home if you can.

Among the deaths Thursday was a 16-year-old girl, the youngest victim of coronavirus in France.

“It’s unbearable,” the girl’s mother Sabine told reporters by phone from her home in the Parisian suburbs. “We were meant to have an ordinary life.”

According to Sabine, the girl, Julie A., developed a cough and reported shortness of breath last weekend. Her condition deteriorated while she was hospitalized, despite not having any underlying health conditions.

“From the start, we were told that the virus doesn’t affect young people. We believed it, like everyone else,” Sabine said.

Which gets to why I think he was elected in the first place. People were tired of "normal politicians" and business as usual.
I wonder how many still think that

Sadly there are too many out there that won't stay at home because they've been brainwashed into thinking this is either a common cold or a hoax.

Apparently, quite a few based on his approval rating.

Personally, while I didn't vote for him, I am one who has said for years that we needed an "outsider". Trump isn't exactly who I had in mind, but he's an outsider. lol

For the most part, it's gone how I expected. A little worse in some areas, a little better in others and in many ways, entertaining as hell.

I think that his being an outsider/non-politician has hurt him as far as handling this crisis though.

While I don't think he has done as bad a job as those who don't like him claim...I think that someone with more political experience wouldn't have made as many verbal mistakes as he has.

I have no doubt as much as someone like her (and those like her) rips him I would bet Rachel Maddow wants him to win....makes the show so much easier.

Sadly there are too many out there that won't stay at home because they've been brainwashed into thinking this is either a common cold or a hoax.

Was thinking about that and looked at some of the pictures of people who are doing those things.

It's mainly people who are outside of Trump's demographic and would never vote for him.

In fact, I don't think it's even Biden's demographic. lol

It's looks like it's mainly young, college age folks.

I disagree with the "too many" unless you're point is that even 1 is too many.

As I've said before, I think that the overwhelming majority are taking at least some level of precautions.

lol

No doubt.

I used to listen to Rush Limbaugh years ago and when people would say that he was mad when there was a Democrat in the White House or they controlled congress, he'd always say..."Why would I be mad? They make my show much easier."

Our cases have sky rocketed as our culture is different from a lot of other countries. I'm not the biggest Trump fan, and I've found his responses to this pandemic, to be less than satisfactory. Having said that, is he responsible for people going out and licking toilets, or people purposefully coughing on produce? Is he responsible for people being negligent and irresponsible and inconsiderate of other people's health that chose to go out and still play 5-on-5 basketball games? Or throw COVID-19 parties?

The answer to some of these questions is probably yes.
Reason being, he downplays it so much.
A month ago he said the 15 current cases would soon be zero.
Some people take his bullshit as gospel.
It will and already has killed some of them.

Yeah, I don't think they thought it was a hoax. They're not likely to listen to or support Trump.

For them, it was most likely about them being young and thinking they're invincible. We all did stupid shit at that age. lol

I honestly think Biden is not mentally well. He sounds like a grandpa who is starting to lose it.

Possibly, but a president can be successful simply by surrounding him or herself with the right people.
Trump fires anyone who doesn’t agree with him or kiss his ass.

Really? As I posted above, from what I've seen, the very few people who aren't taking precautions are in the demographic that would be unlikely to listen to anything he has to say. Young, college age folks aren't exactly Trump's demographic.

And who exactly was killed because of something Trump said about it? I've only heard of a couple and they said their own stupid shit about it.

Trump's Statements About the Coronavirus

here is a "fact check" of quotes from the past 2 months.

it is positively unbelievable to read. It is simply bat shit crazy propaganda with no basis in science or fact.

here is the last one that they have- from MARCH 10TH

March 10: “And we’re prepared, and we’re doing a great job with it. And it will go away. Just stay calm. It will go away.” — Trump after meeting with Republican senators.

Stop or you’ll hear about Hillarys emails or Epsteins murder.

This asshole for one.

And, if my reply was on one of your comments, it wasn’t directed at you.
If was a generic opinion of mine, sorry for the confusion.
Some people will defend Trump at any cost. You are not in that group.

That was one of the assholes I was talking about. He said his own stupid shit.

Imo, listening to any politician about a medical crisis is pretty stupid. I'm only interested in what doctors are saying.

Didn't take it that way at all.

The people who defend him at any cost are as bad as the ones who criticize him at any cost. Neither are helping the situation.

Sure.

But the people who actually know what they are talking about don’t have an audience.

Which is why people end up listening to idiots like Trump. And in some cases athletes.
