Depends on how quickly the US can mitigate and contain it (response has been...slow so far). I read something this morning, for example, that South Korea, which has been very proactive, has started to see some decline. They are further along since they were exposed earlier and also more robust in response, but that's just an example that it might not drag out very long if proper action is taken. If we can get all the tests out properly with no hiccups (a challenge so far) to get accurate numbers and divert resources to medical facilities in high impact areas for treatment, it could only be a month to 2 month ordeal.

We are hearing forecasts that the peak of this is expected to be at least 2 months out. Now that could be just the outbreak here in WA, but while it could be in decline by then that's a far cry from ready to let full large crowd public events go on again. Fear of sparking it back up will linger.

There's nothing preventing them from playing in the Summer. They could do anything from saying we'll play 10 more regular season games and do the playoffs, go straight to the playoffs, or any number of combinations. The season isn't shot (yet). It's just delayed

I hope you're right, but I was talking to some one about this and he seems to think that it could take awhile to get a handle on the entire Coronavirus situation because of the time to create the vaccinations and etc. In short this could easily be equal to an epidemic similar to the typhoid fever- The disease appears to be airborn- It's already late march with only 19 games left - My strong guess is those games are shot
