As much as I believe that the allegations are true, and that UoM as well as every citizen of the State of Michigan were not only aware, but also willing participants, I agree with you that 50 years is too long.

He’s looking at the incident that just happened last week. My guess is he either didn’t know or forgot about the one that happened in the 1970s.

Seems like a lot of nothing can come from this. The prosecutor's office can't file charges - one because the guy is dead and it's beyond that statute of limitations. I'm sure if he did it to one, he did it to others. But I'm not sure what could come of it all. It happened half a century ago. Tracking down people who were even seen by him that long ago would probably be hard. Unlike some of the other stories, it doesn't seem like the University, or staffs, were involved in any kind of cover-up.

Though at the frequency that this kind of thing is happening, it seems like "team doctors" should get some additional oversight.
