What do the Pats do?
I think BB trades it away.
The real strength of this draft is the 2nd and 3rd round. Really from about 20th overall prospect to about 60th overall prospect there is not much difference in grades at least from what I have evaluated. Whoever can find a trade down partner it would be wise to do so. Hard part is finding someone wanting to do that.
I think at 23 there may be a possibility just not sure what you get in return, what the value of that pick is. There are teams like the Phins that have a boat load of picks this year and they may be doing a lot of trading I feel this could increase the chances BB can pull this off.
I did not mean to imply the Pats and Phins would deal, only that teams with a lot of draft capital can shake up how the early round selections are effected. And the could play into the Pats dealing that pick to another team. If they can get a reasonable deal for that pick.I doubt Miami and the Patriots would trade but yeah you will see a lot of wheeling and dealing. I think most will happen in the top-10 or bottom 3 or so picks as teams wanting that 5th year option. Not saying Patriots can't trade just they are in a weird spot.
Trade, always trade
Quantity almost always outweighs quality when it comes to the draft. People get way too attached to their draft picks (fans that is) and that is coming from a guy that covers the draft the entire year. They have value but if you hit on even half your draft picks you are considered a genius in the NFL.
Need to see what Yondy Cajuste can do? If they think he can start go get oline help in the 3rd.Trade and get some new offensive linemen.
Trade for Andy dalton
