I think the Browns need a steadying hand as head coach, which is why I thought Rivera, McCarthy, and Caldwell would be solid options instead of going the coordinator route.

The hire that really prompted the Rooney talk was Judge, as he wasn't on ANYONE'S radar as a possibility. Then again, we're talking about self-proclaimed genius Gettleman, lol.

I'd have been OK with Mccarthy or Rivera but not like they are sure things. GB has a young guy in Lafleur and don't look like they miss McCarthy.

Browns have gone with experienced HCs and failed, too, with Hue and Mangini. Just need someone who will show them he knows what he's doing and hold everyone accountable.

A day off means hours of preparation they don’t have to do.
