They are not currently irrelevant....but facts are facts. A middle schooler who follow bball knows about a cavalier title. A 40-year-old does not recall a Philly title.

Yes....Process was, in fact, created by the Cavs. But it's really called tanking. And it worked for the cavs.

A 21 year old wasn't even born when Jordan won his last title

An 18 year old wasn't born when the Lakers won their first title with Shaq and Kobe

Does it mean anything? No? In 20 years time that Cavs title is going to mean just as much as the Rockets title in the mid 90s do now

In 2001 the Lakers swept through the Western Conference and won the title with a 15-1 record. An AMAZING feat at the time which got brought up for years after. Nobody really gives a damn about that now though. Heck the Warriors did the same in 2017 and nobody hardly brings that up too.

The Lakers were the overwhelming favorites to win in '01. The Cavs were the underdogs in '16.

And be honest. If the Cavs were up 3-1 in that '16 Finals series people would still be talking about the epic comeback by the Warriors. That title the Cavs got was against the best regular season team in history. It wasn't a regular Finals upset. Or at least that's the way I see it.
