Been a long season and with one week left, I thought I'd throw out my personal, subjective view of how NFL QBs stack up with the year wrapping up.

1. Jackson - BAL
2. Brees - NO
3. Wilson - SEA
4. Mahommes - KC
5. Rodgers - GB
6. Brady - NE
7. Watson - HOU
8. Jimmy G - SF
9. Tannehill - TEN
10. Ryan - ATL
11. Allen - BUF
12. Prescott - DAL
13. Wentz - PHI
14. Cousins - MIN
15. Brissett - IND
16. Rivers - LAC
17. Goff - STLA
18. Stafford - DET
19. Lock - DEN
20. Carr - Oakvegas
21. Rudolph/Hodges/Roethlisberger - PIT
22. Mayfield - CLE
23. Murray - AZ
24. Trubisky - CHI
25. Jones - NYG
26. Winston - TB
27. Haskins/Keenum - WAS
28. Dalton - CIN
29. Newton/Allen/Greir - CAR
30. Minshew/Foles - JAX
31. Fitzpatrick - MIA
32. Darnold - NYJ

I'm guessing we'll see new QBs in Pittsburgh, Cincy, Carolina, and Miami next year. Others that should look for another QB are LAC, Indy, Detroit, and Jacksonville. Will have to see if Tampa and Tennessee are comfortable rolling with their current starters. Winston's leash seems unusally long for all the mistakes he makes, and Tannehill is a guy that always looks good but has yet to lead a team anywhere of importance. Vegas might begin a search for a new franchise guy, but I could see them sticking with Carr another year or two. I think the biggest question mark will be Chicago. Will the Bears stick with the young guy, even though he's regressed a bit?

And there are some good, young arms ready to lead the next generation of the NFL. Jackson, Mahommes, Watson, Lock, Dan Jones, and Murray all look like they could put up some nice numbers over the next few years. And the next couple drafts have some guys that look like they have a ton of talent. Even if just a couple of those guys translate to the NFL really well, the future of the position looks really bright.

People still trying to act like Dak > Wentz?

The one who was apparently having a career year with all of his offensive weapons is sitting at 26 TD passes, 11 INTs and is looking on from the outside of the playoffs. The one that gets all the criticism despite losing almost all of his offensive weapons is sitting at 26 TDs, 7 INTs and is on his way to a division win.

I'll do a top 10.......
1. Mahomes
2. Brees
3. Wilson
4. Jackson (another year like this one, though, he moves up to 1-2)
5. Rodgers
6. Brady
7. Watson
8. Ryan
9. Wentz
10. Jimmy G.

8-10 could have been picked out of a hat with a couple more probably included.

Yeah, I'd like to see how well he (Jackson) does when teams have a few years of tape on him...

Cousins has been in the league for about a decade and has done nothing except lose to teams with winning records.
Oh we’re talking a about career achievements and team records, that makes a difference , truly

Cousins has had one of the best quarterback seasons in the NFL this season. His PFF overall grade of 84.3 ranks fifth in the league behind Drew Brees, Ryan Tannehill, Russell Wilson and Lamar Jackson, and he has shredded opposing defenses with play-action (129.2 passer rating) and passes 20 or more yards downfield (119.7 passer rating). The Vikings’ offense has also been a top-five unit this season in terms of EPA per play. Yet, Cousins isn’t getting the recognition he deserves for that, and games like the one we saw from him against the Packers in Week 16 are a big reason why.

I’ve came to realize cousins really is the opposite of Tebow. Cuz can throw the hell out of the ball, but in crunch time, he’s pretty much a loser. Tebow can’t throw worth a damn, but crunch time more often than not he’s a winner.

As we see in many other conversations here, fans make up their mind on guys and nothing will change it.

Agree his season has been way above avg......and that was even with Thielen and Diggs missing time.

Hooray! He's had a nice season. Doesn't make him one of the best QBs in the league. Until he proves he can beat teams with winning records, he'll just be a guy with pretty stats.

see you're rankings are career rankings. What makes jimmy G a top 10 qb.

Attrition to formerly top 10 stalwarts. It's not an absurd argument, imo. Sliding him in at 10th isn't out of bounds.

The argument can be made. It just requires shitting on Ben, Brady, Rivers, Newton, Luck's retirement, and Ryan to some degree.

well, the OP states that its rankings for this year, then his arguments are based on careers, not this year. So thats a little contrarian.
But Lets compare logic here.

Jimmy G is 8, Derek Carr is 20

Jimmy G has a lower QBR, lower QB rating. Their YPA are extremely close, their total passing yards are almost identical. Jimmy has more TD's, but also more INT's. carr's taken less sacks. Carr has 1 more rushing TD(irrelevant). Advanced analytics arent that different as well.........yet ones top 10, ones bottom half of the league? I'll listent.
