Has a QB that couldn’t go past his first read ever been on the podium before?

Probably lots of them. Tebow, Crouch, Frazier and many more. I dont think any of them managed to throw for 3700 yards, 32 TDs and post a 200 QB rating while doing so though. So.... you know

Comparing option QBs to traditional QBs is fools’ work.

I thought Jason White was fairly good at reading defenses and making the right decision. He just had no arm, and by the end no legs.

He had an nfl arm no question but his knees were gone.

I was joking. I don't think he would have been great in the league but if his knees held out he probably gets a 2nd contract.

I think we've reached that point in PC world where I won't be surprised if ESPN announced co-champions.

He never had a true NFL arm IMO. After shredding he's knees he developed one of the best deep balls in the country though. Great touch.

Lamb should be there instead of Hurts, and Young is a total hype thing. Burrow and Fields definitely deserve to be there. Dobbins, Chuba or Taylor would all be good finalists too.

Lamb is the best player in the Big 12 IMHO.

I think Hurts is my biggest gripe. Burrow is going to win by a huge margin so everyone is playing for 2nd. I wanted Hubbard to get an invite but OU held him in check so I get it. Defensive players never win but Young was dominant so that's fine. It's probably going to be Fields vs Lawrence going into next year so either one getting an invite now is cool. Hurts though-he was great early but was a turnover machine the last half of the season. It seems like his invite is less about his on field performance in crunch time and more about a nice story.

I think he is a decent kid and solid college quarterback but was his season really Heisman worthy?
