Reminder: Nuggets still have not won at Salt Lake since 2014

You've proven time and time against that you care. I especially love how my post provoked you to dig up year-old posts from Wiggy literally 20 minutes later, as if I had some sort of tabs on what Wiggy was doing at a given time.

For the record, I actually like our chances against the Lakers better than I do against the Jazz. Chances are we'd have to get through Utah to have that chance, though. The Donovan & Rudy curse may have something to do with why we have yet to win a game at their place in the Jokic/Malone era.

Obscure? Not quite. Because the fact remains we'll still be in contention for the #1 seed in spite of the Lakers' hot start as well our plodding style to begin the season, I'd say it might matter somewhat if we can't get over the hump of a team that has owned us the last five years, or there will be a significant bracket-buster come playoff time.

The Western conference goes through LA this year. Period.

There are a couple teams good enough to contend should the LA teams falter. Denver, Utah, and Houston especially. Maybe even Dallas.
