What confuses me is this idea of teams stacking the box to stop Zeke the last two weeks. It just isn't true. Yes they are stopping him but I posted something the other day where Minny very seldom had 8 in the box on Dallas run plays and really didn't even have 7 in the box as many times as usual IIRC. They just won the battle at the LOS. I didn't see any stats for Det but It seemed as if they played it the same way.I don’t know about dumping Zeke. I think it goes hand in hand with them two. I doubt teams are stacking the box vs Pollard or Alfred Morris or whoever. Zeke does at times look like he has lost his burst but he is still a really good back. He has had two subpar weeks after 3 straight 100 yard games. Not many backs are going for 100 anymore in a game. The catch he made Sunday on the screen pass was great.
On your main point. I agree. Zeke is still a great back. I don't blame him for the poor performances. I blame the OC for not realizing in 4 Qtrs what the rest of us realized in about 2 or 3 series. The run game just wasn't working that day. Change up the formations/scheme or stop calling run plays so often
