Regardless, I'm glad Garrett apologized unconditionally and completely.. At least he was quick to recognize what a stupid and terrible act it was.
I agree 100% what he did was plain dumb. But it still warrant a hard stance by the league. It was definitely a heat of the moment situation but sometimes you gotta be smarter than that. Especially when it comes to hitting a man in the head with a football helmet with all of your force.

For what it's worth I feel the apology I read was from the heart.
Could well be, he needs to prove he can play with controlled emotion at this point. I think O-Linemen may test that. He's definitely sorry for what he did, I got no doubt about that. The unfortunate part of this from Garrett's standpoint is that this will be the story of the Browns season next year. Garrett redeeming himself and how can he change to help the Browns in 2020.
Sooooooo...we are going to categorize this as just a little "xtra"...![]()
Kind of did get what he asked for which, really, wasn't much. Had he hit him hard with hard part of helment that's another story.I'm seeing that many on here think that Mason Rudolph got what he asked for. I wonder if people share the same opinion about Donald Brashear after that hockey stick shot to the head from Marty McSorley.

You're showing me one?
Still the same thing applies..."few, if any".
So it's okay to hit them over the head with a helmet? You are a dipshit.
He got his hand stuck in the guy's facemask.
You need to go fuck yourself.
Correct....happened one time and punishment was 3 games. 2 of those games were preseason. Garrett gets 6 plus possible postseason and into next year?

Not excusing Garrett as that is what he tried to do.
but this was your point and you were wrong - "Garrett's appeal camp can't really go back and say "this guy got 4 games, or that guy got 5 games for doing the same thing."My point remains...that one occurrence was not going to influence RG when this was a national TV game in primetime against a QB.
I hear ya, but not apples to apples.
Oh my fucking God...............![]()
Pretty sure his head was not in danger of coming off..That man was trying to take his head off at the time. I'll allow it.
