What were the insults that he hurled at Garrett?

Also, not end of story. None of what Mason did excuses Garrett using Mason's helmet like a sledgehammer and hitting him in the head with it. Point blank, plain and simple.

lmao. there were some serious shit coming out of mason's mouth.

#2, you aren't hearing me. If Mason had not tried to rip off Garret's helmet, the brawl and helmet smack would not have happened. Do you fucking get it?/??

Absolutely is. Not that I saw that watching the tape so I can't comment on if that was the intent or not. Mason's conduct doesn't change what Garrett did though.
Agree, but if I committed a bush league act I would not accuse another of doing so.

So what you're essentially saying is Mason got what he asked for and Garrett did nothing wrong.

really. I guess I just imagined mason's mouth moving a mile a minute after that clean unpenalized tackle.......

Garrett's feelings were hurt by awful words? Aww.

No, referring to the aggravated assault that happened during a football game.....If any of us did that, we'd be fucked....Imagine going to a sports bar and taking a football helmet off the wall and smashing someone over the head......We'd be handcuffed, do not pass go, do not collect $200 and go directly to jail.....
I've seen guys get hit or punched a lot harder than Rudolph was in a sporting event....maybe hit by a baseball or a hockey stick. How many were charged with a crime?

well, if the N word was used.......... hmm......

and if I had to distribute blame......

I'd say mason's words were 10% and 90% was him trying to rip off Garrett's helmet......

Really. I must have imagined it too. We can be imagination buddies!

I was unable to imagine what was said though so maybe you could fill me in on what you imagined was said?

But...but...the other guy started it! That makes it okay! (sarcasm)

The people that defend Myles Garrett on this thread amaze me. Yeah, Mason started it. Myles Garrett then took it too far. I would figure that that would be common sense but I guess common sense ain't always that common, eh?
You realize very few do not share this opinion?

The N word is a completely different circumstance and if the N word was said, Myles would've said that that's what happened right away, don't you think?

That was just carry over emotion, spontaneous reaction but still wrong

No doubt...that was everybody involved.

If he were battling 2 or 3 guys...I can see needing a weapon...a QB? I don't see the need at all...that makes it a cowardice act imo..

I have lost my temper many times. I've never picked up a large rock or stick and swung it at someone's head. Especially while competing in sports.
Yeah I get that and we all have different levels of anger. Buy no means am I justifying what he did, just that I feel it was more rage and spontaneous vs calculated.

I'm seeing that many on here think that Mason Rudolph got what he asked for. I wonder if people share the same opinion about Donald Brashear after that hockey stick shot to the head from Marty McSorley.

How about this...happened in a preseason game. Thought I heard suspension was 2-3 games (and one of them was a preseason game

You're showing me one?

Still the same thing applies..."few, if any".

Oh, we agree 100% there.

I don't think this was calculated at all.

It was definitely a heat of the moment situation but sometimes you gotta be smarter than that. Especially when it comes to hitting a man in the head with a football helmet with all of your force.
