Garrett was separated from Rudolph by 2 O-linemen. He had his helmet on and Mason didn't. Myles also just got done throwing Mason down to the ground unnecessarily. The smart thing to do would be to drop the helmet and walk away. There are 8 seconds left in the game that you're going to 100% win. Take the fucking W and walk out with some sort of decency left to your name. But no, Garrett needs to be a thug and hit someone over the head with a helmet. Jesus fucking christ. I have lost my temper many times. I've never picked up a large rock or stick and swung it at someone's head. Especially while competing in sports.

Also, not end of story. None of what Mason did excuses Garrett using Mason's helmet like a sledgehammer and hitting him in the head with it. Point blank, plain and simple.

If he had been that terrible all season...maybe that would be doing the Browns a favor...but for now we know Pouncey and Garrett will miss that contest.

Seems harsh...There have been few if any cases in the modern era of the league like this one. I'm not real sure they could even consider letting him play again this season. Garrett's appeal camp can't really go back and say "this guy got 4 games, or that guy got 5 games for doing the same thing.

That's what they are doing. he will be allowed to apply for reinstatement beginning of next year. They just want this to go away and if they extend the suspension into next year it will still be talked about. I would have given him at least the 12 games that Burfect got and probably more.

I'm cool with indefinite, now Garrett has no date to look forward to; he's out as long as the NFL wants him to be.
