I don't make the rules...

It's the game we watch today. The NFL has over babied the QB's in the league... But it is what it is.

You can be xtra on a RB but you can't be xtra on a QB.
No disagreement he could have let up, but the fact is a flag was not even thrown so in this case, yeah, he could hit the QB.

The late hit that wasn't called when late hits are called more often than anyone wants to see?

and that wasn't me reahhhhhhhhhhing. It was guys with no agenda.
Your interpretation is very much a Reeeeeaaaacccccchhhhhh. He did not kick him in the Nads he was positioning to get Myles off him and that effort may have glanced his nether regions.

And truth be told anyone damn way you put it Myles is not the victim here, what he did was criminal, plain and simple.

Yep, for all that we know Mason was at the police station last night

Cleveland PD has said so far they don’t have a complaint from Rudolph yet. But his agent seems like they are considering it.

On one hand....yeah...that’s assault. On the other....it was heat of the game and let the league handle the punishment. I’m not sure which way I lean yet.

WTF Are you saying?

Because the flag wasn't thrown he could hit the QB? That makes no sense at all!

I don't think they agent or Mason will press charges, had he concussed him or split his skull open I think they would have. I suspect they will let the league deal with this.

As far as the ref was concern, yes, he could legally hit the QB.

What's amusing in all this is I am very confident had Rudolph gotten the helmet off and hit Garrett with it the narrative completely flips. Goes back to ripping the Browns and calling Garrett soft.

No dude, it's not a matter of he could hit him because a flag was or wasn't thrown it has nothing to do with the flag being thrown. When I saw the video the ball was released and the ref behind the play took of running toward the play. He totally lost sight of the QB / DE dynamic. If that ref had time to turn and start moving toward the play then obviously the ball was released. A ref missing a call does not mean a penalty did not happen, just means he missed a call.

The fact it was a QB definitely escalates it. I don't know that it matters if it's the Browns people just need something new to be outraged by

I don't think the statute of limitations has run out on this one.....

Of course, I'm sure current Steelers would be witnesses for the prosecution.

agreed.....and a late hit does not justify starting a brawl.

Again I don't see where Mason started the brawl, he IMO got hit late wanted Myles off of him and Myles over reacted. I guess we just see things differently.

Kicking a guy in the nads and trying to rip off a guy's helmet is the best way to get a guy off him? Not just maybe pushing him?

OK, sport.

Garrett indefinitely but done for year.
Pouncey 3
Ogunjobi 1
Rudolph none

I know some will say Rudolph should get a game...I was okay either way on him, so this is fair imo.

I thought Pouncey would get 2, but 3 is probably about right. My guess Rudolph and maybe even DeCastro could get hit in the pocket.

Garrett...assuming he apologizes, etc. my guess is he's back week one 2020, but if he continues to show no public remorse...RG will let him sit into next season. He's fucked up with the wrong guy.

I thought a little too much for Pouncey (maybe a game or 2). Seems a little harsh for garrett but guess can be justified.

Maybe doing Browns a favor by making sure Rudolph can play in 2 weeks?

I think his agent is or was. Again I don't think that happens.
I heard his agent imply it. I haven't heard anything about Mason himself actually considering it.

Mason is shitty QB. But he's right. Garrett is a coward. That was bush league. I'm glad that half-man loser is gone for the year. Hope it's longer.
