I can't watch one the best players today because he borrowed money to take his girlfriend to a bowl game.
Fuck the NCAA. Pay the players!

Funny how people’s opinion’s can change so quickly...

Well he should be suspended for being dumb. You don’t need to bring your girlfriend to a bowl game when there are a shit load of groupies waiting there.
To be honest, the problem won't go away until the P5's break off and form their own division that can stand increasing the output to the players. Hell, even in the P5's there are athletic departments that can't break even because of Title IX. All of that cash flowing in goes to keeping those required non revenue sports afloat.
Break away and reform/remove Title IX and the problem would resolve itself.

federal, but with congress poking their heads into the pay the players stuff and other college sports related issues like healthcare, they inevitably can and should reform it.Is title ix a NCAA issue or a federal issue?
Pay them, but dont waste scholarships on them. Its just like paying the promotions department for advertisements. Pay them if it makes you money. But dont fuck around and take scholarships from people that earned them.I can't watch one the best players today because he borrowed money to take his girlfriend to a bowl game.

These are two separate issues:Is title ix a NCAA issue or a federal issue?
Title IX isn’t going away. It’s Federal law.To be honest, the problem won't go away until the P5's break off and form their own division that can stand increasing the output to the players. Federal laws can and do change over time. As I've already said, congress has been poking their heads into the college sports topics and sooner or later if they keep trying to look toward mandating changes they will have to own their share of it.Title IX isn’t going away. It’s Federal law.
Wasn’t there a OSU football player who followed the same path and got the scorn woman’s domestic violence charge against him?
