I doubt many college athletes would have the cash on hand to afford that trip. Not sure if story true but if so given how high profile he is only strengthens the future moves on the horizon

I don't think we would have to have him against Clemson, honestly. He would be pretty important against Bama and LSU though.

People need to be careful assessing Clemson. I get the bad UNC game, but they have the balanced offense and strong defense to give anyone fits.

How do you know? They haven't faced anyone worth a damn. UNC is a bad team, and while they were impressive defensively against A&M, their offense still struggled. People are acting like they're hitting their stride now, but why? Because they're beating a bunch of bad ACC teams?

This is essentially a more experienced version of last year’s offense, and I can attest that they have the weapons to give anyone (including tOSU WITH Young) fits. As for the defense, they shut down TAMU, and TAMU is a good (not great) offense.

Alabama is every bit as untested as Clemson. Heck, tOSU’s defense hasn’t faced a real test, either. Maybe Wisconsin, but they were exposed the previous week.

Now don’t get me wrong, I have tOSU at 1 and believe they are the most complete team AND have the strongest resume. I just see Clemson lurking, healthy, while other top teams get nicked up week in and week out. They will be a tough out for anyone.

Their offense is more experienced, but their defense is still inexperienced and untested. A&M is decent offensively, but they're not elite by any measure. Wisconsin isn't an elite offense, but they have an elite running back, and OSU completely shut him down.

I'm certainly not saying Clemson is bad or that they aren't talented, but if they faced OSU right now, they would be shell-shocked with OSU's defense compared to everyone else they've faced. From a total defense standpoint, OSU has faced the #1, #18, and #20 defenses in the nation, and they've crushed all of them. The best defense Clemson has faced this year is #29 (A&M), and they only got 24 points. I know they're not getting nicked up, but they are completely untested, and will be until the playoff.

I don't know. He seemed pretty matter of fact about it though. I'm sure he has connections inside the program though.

I think it's speculation. Historically, it's been 4 games for taking impermissible benefits, but there is also a more recent precedent for 1 game with what happened with the Kentucky football player.

He said he will be suspended 4 games. There wasn't an, I think, or probably, when he said it. With that said OSU will win any appeal and get it reduced to 2.

The NCAA has ZERO consistency on ANYTHING. Nothing those handjobs do surprises me.
