Their offense is more experienced, but their defense is still inexperienced and untested. A&M is decent offensively, but they're not elite by any measure. Wisconsin isn't an elite offense, but they have an elite running back, and OSU completely shut him down.

I'm certainly not saying Clemson is bad or that they aren't talented, but if they faced OSU right now, they would be shell-shocked with OSU's defense compared to everyone else they've faced. From a total defense standpoint, OSU has faced the #1, #18, and #20 defenses in the nation, and they've crushed all of them. The best defense Clemson has faced this year is #29 (A&M), and they only got 24 points. I know they're not getting nicked up, but they are completely untested, and will be until the playoff.

NCAA is a joke.

The schools ARE the NCAA. Every time one of these comes up people act like its some government bureaucracy, but it's entirely a member institution. They absolutely set their own rules. The majority, mostly the smaller/lower schools, keep the shitty rules on the books on purpose.

P5's badly need to split off and form their own division and own governing body.

I wouldn't call the TAMU game complete domination. Don't get me wrong, it was a solid win, but if a 24-10 win over a 5-3 team is complete domination, what do you call what OSU did to Wisconsin?

Again, I'm not saying Clemson is bad, or that they're not extremely good, but they're just not on the OSU/Bama/LSU level this year, at least not from what we've seen.

This is a talking head with connections to OSU. If Desmond Howard had said it — I’d say it is wishful thinking on his part.
About the only guy on game day I’d listen to an opinion on it right now is Herbstreit.

Not sure how accurate Buckeyewire is? But they are reporting OSU expects him to get 4 games.
