So far this year? Yeah absolutely. Dude looks like he slammed to many Budweiser's this off-season, and looks like he put on 15 - 20 lbs. Also, for whatever reason, his accuracy has plummeted this year. I know he's had some drops, but he was better in that department last year.

Agreed, and surprising. For the most part accuracy seems to be something you have or don't. Not something you could have and lose or not have then acquire that trait.

Yeah shit happens. But more so than the play, not wasting the clock and the result. Post game he said, "We were trying to score, get the ball back again and score again". Like I understand you want to be aggressive but lets be honest, there wasn't a good opportunity to do that and you are playing the best QB in the NFL right now. Get any kind of points and run the clock so the other team can't score at all. They had a chance to do that. The goal is to win the game.

Essentially what you're saying...even if they score the TD, a run or two in the playcalling and you leave as little time as possible remaining before the half.

No push back there....even a 3-0 exchange going into the half would be 23-12.

No doubt you want to tack on, but do it while making sure you don't leave them time to close their deficit.

Yep...I viewed like this.

The difference is only 2 points, but the margin would still be 2 points greater.

Exactly...would have been so easy to make sure you get something and not leave them much time. Start by letting playclock run down and not snap at 24 and run on first down.

Generally feeling Baker would be a candidate to bounce back. Kitchens has been bad, that OL is not good. Kitchens deserves to be fired- no excuse for being 2-6 with this Browns team.

Not sure how much you saw but it was beyond the usual dumb. 3rd and 3 then 4th and 1 in key spots in red zone and not only does Hilliard get in on 3rd, but it's Baker on 4th (to be fair, I think he made it). Chubb not even in the game.

Gave it to Hilliard again on a 3rd and 3-4.

The 4 and 2 play though final drive...I need to go back and watch it again to see the what the presnap look was, but he had OBJ one on one and OBJ beat his man...if Baker throws it, he likely has 6. To be fair, the play call may have been the short pass to get the first, but to ignore your highest paid WR in one on one coverage was not good imo.

I agree and don't usually blame playcalls, as all we see is the result. But pretty sure if Chubb isn't on the field no matter what the call was he isn't getting the ball and Denver isn't worried about him.

As for the deep pass you are correct and that's Baker not having the confidence to make that needing only 4 yards. Maybe don't send OBJ deep, though, if that's the case.

It was 4 yds...I looked at the play again. It looked like single man coverage presnap to me, but it wasn't the coaches tape so hard to see if the S was shading to OBJ at presnap.

My take is ultimately you need a TD to win, it didn't appear that he even gave him a glance....if they only needed FG to win and 4 yds gets them into FG position...okay, I can see having tunnel vision on a 4 yd pattern...your franchise QB, you would hope he's always looking downfield.

Playcalls are almost always a hindsight perspective...when they don't work...lol...if he completes the short pass, whether they go on to win or not, we're not talking about him overlooking OBJ. In the case with the sneak...I think with Chubb out, maybe the thought was they don't think it's going to be a run...idk why you wouldn't have him in there?

The worst was having him out 4th and 3 and giving it to Hilliard.

Reminds me of the Browns - with Mack and Byner - giving the ball to Herman Fontenot on 3rd and 3 or 4 on their drive in OT in The Drive game.
