I have no idea what the point of the thread is. The defense is still trash when it comes to pass defense. After marching the team down at the start of the 3rd quarter and leading a TD drive to give the team a 19 point lead against one of the best defenses in pro football the defense did what it could to try to give the game away. Fortunately Carson Wentz bailed them out and led a game ending drive to make sure the defense did not fuck it up again.

again. you do realize the lions kickoff return TD counts against the defense, correct? it has nothing to do with them. you realize the eagles have fumbled numerous times deep in their own territory, leading to easy opponent points, correct? 2 fumbles alone against the cowboys at the eagles 14 and 16 yard line. who would seriously blame the defense for giving up TD's to the #1 offense on those?

naaa. you don't realize that.. because you'd have to admit the offense is bad. fortunately, they keep stats for this type of stuff.

eagles defense = 10th
eagles offense = 18th

if only we drafted some defensive help and pushed more of the focus there.

In my opinion, this is a really silly argument. I believe in the one game at a time philosophy. Which team got more points? That is ALL that matters for that particular week. Will the Eagles get more points than New England or not? Will the Eagles get more points than Seattle or not?
Statistics can be argued in the off season - HOPEFULLY after Week 21.

so many injuries combined with a lack of talent this year. yet they are only a yard behind the cowboys for moving into the top 10 overall. as they slowly get healthy, they are starting to limit the two areas they have been absolutely brutal at.. penalties and big plays.

they've already dealt with dallas (#1) lions (#5) vikings (#8) and falcons (#9) so far. after the seahawks and patriots.. 4 of the remaining 5 games are against the redskins (#31) dolphins (#30) and giants twice (#24)

by the time the season is up, schwartz will have done another great job with what little he had to work with.

Clearly what this tells me is that Nick Foles is playing on the Eagles D

the whole point was the defense has done a great job despite all the issues. jernigan, bradham, jones, darby, maddox. cox has been randomly banged up. malik jackson got hurt early. mills missed a chunk of the season. lost bennett and long. wound up cutting zach brown for talking shit. released scandrick, brought him back, released him again. used our important top draft picks on offense. and on top of that, the talent was mediocre at best to begin with.

but they are 10th in the league. it's a fact and they deserve credit.

Secondly since I am sure you are inferring this, I have never absolved Wentz if he played bad. I challenged you several times to find a post where I did not acknowledge games in which Wentz did not play well. You have either chose to not look or have not found one so until you do....STFU about it.
