OK, but he's no better than guys the Cavs had in the G-league. I'd take Joe Harris over T. Johnson, for instance.

And, no, T Johnson is not starting over Sexton nor Garland. Osman is in the Cavs starting lineup. He's no more than a JAG is he?

I may be misunderstanding your argument. If so, I apologize in advance.

Now?

Sure.

I know Joe Harris’ game very well as a UVA fan. He has worked extremely hard and he evolved as a player. He was not anywhere close to this good in Cleveland. If he was, he would have played a lot. Even for the championship team in 2016.

Some stats for you:

Harris’ first year in Brooklyn was 2017 when they were very bad. He got 21 minutes a game, shot .425 from the field, 38.5 from 3 and 71.4 from the line. Good from 3, bad everywhere else for a shooter. He has always had a solid floor game, but it was 2018 when he finally started to become the elite shooter he is today.

That year he was 49% from the field, 41.9% from 3 and 82.7 from the line. 2019 was even better.

Going further back, while he always shot well from 3 in college (career 40.7%), but he was never a very good FT shooter and he hovered around 44% from the field overall.

So don’t use Harris as a D league example to bolster your case, because while he would have been a low end rotation guy on a bad team his first 2 years, he would not have been a rotation guy for most if any playoff caliber teams in 2015/2016. He has gotten a lot better.

He didn't progress over night. 2-3 years later he vastly improved and got playing time on a bad team. Danny Green was another guy, but he went to a team that was the perfect for him, it worked out. He became a very nice piece to the Spurs and their championship runs about 3-4 years later.
Cavs organization helped develop both these players.

He is one of the very best catch and shoot guys in the league today.

He was not that guy in 2016.

He has always been an adequate defender. If he could shoot like this when he played in Cleveland he would have been playing alongside LBJ for sure.

I called him a G leaguer because he was a G leaguer.

He also was not that good in 2016.

Completely defeats your comparison to Tyler Johnson and the depth of the Heat.

the Sixers would have to have a shit load of success over the next half decade to come anywhere close to the Cavs run. thus far all we have seen is failure and falling short of bloated expectations.
For some one who's team has only one championship since they have existed(Cleveland) you sure are talking a lot of shit about a team who have been to the finals 9 times and won 3 times.

"defeats"? lol

are you a total simpleton?

the point was that the Cavs drafted Harris because they thought he had potential- but due to the fact that they were going deep in the playoffs every year- they didnt have the ability to throw a 2nd round pick a ton of minutes to develop.

it was definitely NO surprise to the Cavs that once Harris got minutes he ended up being a very good 3 pt shooter but when you are trying to win titles and have the ability to get Kyle Korver- you get Kyle Korver- you dont develop a 2nd round pick and see him through the ups and downs of development. You win-now.

Definitely did not surprise me that as soon as Harris got real PT that he has shot roughly 40% or higher in every yeare of his career from 3.

and pleaese dont be a fucking idiot "good from 3 but bad from everywhere else"- or whatever

that year the guy took 362 shots and 221 of them were from 3. Thats practically all he was taking and asked to take. His shooting efficiency was 54---- which is the best that Johnson has had in HIS ENTIRE CAREER (in a season where he only shot the ball 243 times)

No doubt, Cavs fans are living the dream!
Well At least they didn't do as bad as New York did last summer:lol: Last January or so, Knicks fans was saying guaranteed they were getting Zion in the draft, trading for Davis and signing Leonard or Durant - Then the truth happened:pound::pound::pound:

in the dark ages of basketball. Most of their success came in a puny league where minorities were discriminated against and the NBA Finals was broadcasted on tape delay and played in front of audiences that are small compared to most Texas High School Football games. Whoop-D-Fucking-Doo.

In the last 35 years they have, for the most part, been one of the worst franchises in the league.

the sixers have not won an NBA finals game since 1983.

how old are you?

Youd have to be pretty fucking old to remember a Sixers finals win.

they have won 4 series- all in the first round- since 2001

the franchise has been a pretty huge embarrassing failure for the past 35+ years.

AI and the sweep in the Finals and an immediate return to being a first round bust-out the following year is the most success the franchise has had since i have been alive- thats for damn sure.

but if you want to hold your hat on victories from 40-50 or so years ago- go for it. lol

Well I'm 51 and I remember that title quite well.

I'm pretty happy with our team right now. I don't much care for dick measuring contests about my teams. But I have to say, I never expected a Cleveland fan to engage in one.

"The city of Brooklyn is shit, I can't wait to get out. This city sucks" ...after starting the season 10-19

The Lakers would welcome Irving for say Kuz, Green, KCP, McGee, and future 2ounder.

i guess i just thought it was funny to see a Sixers fan, a fan of a team who has had some of the least success in the NBA over the last 35 years go after the success of a different team.

but then again you were, what? 14 when they won their last title. That memory must be emblazoned in your mind.

If I were you id refresh it because i dont see that streak coming to an end anytime soon.

Was that one of the NBA Final's that was on tape delay? I know that practice ended right around that time- maybe a few years before hand.

So has Cleveland Sherlock:lol: Except for the Lebron years, they have been a worthless pile of shit including now and in the dark ages. :pound::pound::pound::pound:
