Proof that AP Poll has SEC on their Minds

Now dont get me twisted, i usually dont give two rats ass about the SEC except for Bama and LSU, mainly because they are the only two teams that have been worth a shit over the past 10 years. Yeah Florida makes a sporadic appearance and Georgia has been doing it good the past few years but on a scale of actual competitiveness consistency its Bama and LSU. However, WTF was Texas A&M doing in the top 25 this week with a record of 3-2 other than to give Bama a win over a top 25 team. Mizzou was 4-1 (now 5-1), hell even UCF was 4-2 (one more win), and a few other teams just outside the top 25 has better records than A&M. It makes absolutely no friggen sense to put A&M in the top 25 other than to try and help boost other SEC teams schedules. Its just absolutely absurd.

Side Note... SMU keep going strong, you can do it. (only texas team i root for)

Bingo. It isn’t that the Auburn and Clemson victories are good wins anymore, but they were believed to be at the time. It’s like if the number 1 team in the country during week 5 drops 3 straight. Beating them earlier will be considered a big win while later is like, well everyone is doing it by now.

Let me counter this by saying, should a team whose wins are against a new FBS school, an FCS school, and a 4 point win over an Arkansas team that lost to San Jose State be ranked?

Win at the time of ranking is something that gets more recognition years down the line, but not during the current season.

My apologies if anyone feels this is a SEC Rant, it is not, im a fan of College football as a whole regardless of conference alignment. I just see this particular thing as a spit in the face to other teams who actually deserved to have a number by their name other than A&M.

SEC teams other than Alabama are overrated and Ohio State gets more credit for beating tomato cans than anyone in CFB.

Speaking of overrated, there is at least one other SEC team that has won a playoff game....which would be one more than any B12 team....

I didnt even realize they were ranked till i flipped over to see the game, however i never mentioned them being a good game for either of the other two teams you mentioned.

I dont really care for any of the other Big 12 teams and whether or not they make it anywhere. However i dont think going to the playoffs 3 times and getting beat by 3 really good teams can be considered overrated. More like we had a really shitty fucking defense the past 3 times we went that cost us twice, we got destroyed royally by Clemson, but we at least didnt get blown out against Bama and Georgia.

If not for Alabama, Georgia would have made two playoffs and would have at least 1 win, maybe a Championship and maybe other wins as well, if Georgia is overrated as you stated, then Oklahoma is as well.
