I don't think there's much of a debate here. And i wouldn't be surprised to see it that way for another year or two atleast.

Its going to take a few years just to cycle out the triple option players. And then its going to be tough to recruit any decent players, probably.

Tough Call, I'm going with Rutgers, they've been steam rolled by all their P5 competition, being outscored 160-23. Their lone win is over a UMass team that is in the running for worst FBS...and is probably a middling FCS team in any FCS conference. Rutgers is so bad they lost by 14 to a bad Boston College team that lost to a bad Kansas team by 24

Hard to go wrong with either candidate, Georgia Tech or Rutgers. There are other bad teams, but these two stand out. At least GT has the excuse that they are completely changing their offense.

Rutgers has lost by an average score of 40-10, with their only win coming against Massachusetts. They have been shut out completely in 2 games, against Michigan and Iowa, which they lost by a combined score of 82-0. Really no excuse here besides their coach was a terrible coach before finally getting shit canned last week.

GT has lost by an average score of 35-15, with their only win coming against USF. While they haven't been shut out, they did manage only 2 points against Temple. Their only quality opponent thus far has been Clemson. They do have a new coach and new offense, so they get some leeway.

Tennessee is 1-4 with a loss to Georgia State.

We have to be high in the running.

Make no mistake...you bad....but the 2OT game against BYU says you're not Rutgers bad. You're Kansas, Illinois, UCLA bad...still bad, still an embarrassment to the conference, but not BAD.

Rutgers offense @ 5.75 pts per game/allowed 36.2 ppg
Georgia Tech offense @ 15.2 per game/allowed 30.2 ppg

Rutgers has had a slightly harder schedule...but that lack of offensive output seals it for me.

We'll know more in a month when Rutgers faces the daunting task of playing Indiana, Minnesota, Liberty and Illinois in successive weeks...that is a gauntlet.

Honestly with the offense the are trying to install with the personnel they have, I feel like 15 a game is a success for GT.

I just want to point out, when other fans wonder why UM fans are happy with 10 win seasons right now — UM football had become so bad over a 7+ year stretch, WE LOST TO RUTGERS.

With that new QB, I think y’all would beat GT by two scores
