The amount of stupid in this thread is astounding. I was just fine not knowing this thread ever existed. Thanks a lot for bumping it.
5 TD's; perfect passer rating - looks like you dodged a bullet getting rid of Flacco.
Now ride Lamar's coattails to victory!
Maybe you should call Flacco "Farina" and make him a winner too?
It turned into a win for him. Also as a result of that game, he was named team captain, set some records, earned offensive player of the week. I'd say that complete destruction of the eagles also helped him earn the probowl selection and Rookie of the year.RG3 had a game against the Eagles like that once. Something like 12/15 280 and 4 Touchdowns.
I forget how that turned out for him...
It's not what "I think". The results directly prove your prior statements incorrect. All facts here...You can think what you like, I was ok with McNair and Cunningham even though they were both on the downside of their career...And Jackson had it very easy yesterday with a secondary that was out for pizza all day and an offense that couldn't score any points nor pass rush to put any pressure on them....short fields are gifts against teams like that....You know good teams are gonna be another story in that aspect, pressure on LJ before he can get the ball out, he will run and has trouble holding onto the ball scrambling around....Those windows will be much tighter to get that ball to a receiver and INT's come into play, etc....
Smart fans know you can't judge a season by the first game at all....It's never who starts best but the one who finishes best....Ask Eli, he took Brady's lunch 2 times the same way....

A QB who “runs and only throws when he has to” is not a QB who throws on first down, and has his first run play when already up 14-0.
A QB who “Can’t throw” and who is “inaccurate” doesn’t finish a game with a perfect QB rating against an NFL defense.
Maybe he will be terrible the rest of the season. But statistically, he has been incredible. It's too bad you don't like his race. I'd be excited about his potential if I still lived in Baltimore.
If I have a QB who runs first and throws only when he has to, and is inaccurate; I’m not going to open with a pass.Let me remind you that offenses take what the opposing D gives them....In Miami's case, it was the whole field on every play.....Do you honestly think NE, KC, Pitts and Seattle is gonna do that for him ?????.....Mind you while they are scoring on their end too, especially with short field position from turnovers which are likely to happen if he tries to force it....I'm far more excited about Hollywood Brown than LJ, and best I could tell from looking at him, he is not white....Woops, I must be slipping huh !!!!

You would?
And if he checked down, then that means he read a defense. But you said he doesn’t have that ability either. What gives here?
And KC’s defense is horrid. If he plays smart again, he will tear it up too. I just hope KC can keep up.
How could I have blocked it out when I was the one who brought it up?? Go be a shithead somewhere else.It turned into a win for him. Did you really forget, or did you block it out?
In the long run... sure. Not that great. But that season wow!
Straw man and ad hominem. Strong move using two fallacies at once. I guess that's your way of admitting you were wrong. He's wasn't under any real pressure Einstein....And I said can't make 3rd and 4th reads....Anyone can make a read but can they make the right read under pressure....
You want to crown him as better than Mahomes go ahead, it just reveals your ignorance...
Uh...How could I have blocked it out when I was the one who brought it up?? Go be a shithead somewhere else.
You were sarcastically indicating he sucked. Pretty funny considering what he did to your team.I forget how that turned out for him...
Umm, np. Dallas has the 3 worst teams in consecutive weeks, sir.The schedule makers were very generous to Baltimore.
The play the 2 worst teams in the league in consecutive weeks.
Flacco just needs 4 more games to tie Lamar in TD's, and for Lamar to sit out the next 4 games. So, @Oldschool739, you think this is a thread fail?
Looks like "buckwheat" is pretty good and you Flacco is an "average Joe"
What do you think Lamar can do to improve his performance?
That’s a pretty generous schedule.Umm, np. Dallas has the 3 worst teams in consecutive weeks, sir.
I hope you're talking about these few idiots ready to crown Jackson as the new Tom Brady after 1 good passing game against the worst team in the league...
I'm glad for the win but as you well know you can't make any realistic conclusions on the first game and especially against a really bad team....Heck any backup could've done the same thing against them....
You still in Hampden ?
