Oof. For those of who still had hope for Jerick, this kinda sucks.

Jerick McKinnon will receive a platelet-rich injection in his surgically-repaired knee and be sidelined the next two weeks.

So I didn't see the Pic-Six, but the one throw I did see from Haskins was one hell of a throw.

Pre-Season football Speak in all its glory! :pound::pound::pound:

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora doesn't believe Duke Johnson will be traded until "the midseason trade deadline."

"Don't hold your breath for a Duke Johnson trade anytime soon" is the exact phrasing used by Canfora.
Cleveland is reportedly all about "having as much veteran depth as possible" right now as backup Kareem Hunt continues dealing with a groin injury. Johnson would ideally get traded to an RB-needy high-octane offense (Ex: Bucs) in August, but it doesn't seem like that's the case. The former 'The U' product reminds out of camp with a nagging hamstring ailment.

Christ almighty, I knew Antonio Brown was the ultimate diva...but I had no idea it was to that level of sheer insanity. I hope the Raiders have some sort of clause in that contract that gets them out from under that shit..dear Lord

I do think the nfl is ridiculous with forcing people to wear one type of helmet.

Is it only one type? Bc I heard they gave him options.

I don’t think it’s ridiculous if there are a few options. They want all this player safety, head injuries etc. Then wear the helmets that protect you. Apparently the entire league besides ab is ok with it..

From what I understand, Rodgers will also have to change helmets. He struggled with concussions several years ago and changed to a new style and didn’t have any issues until late last year. I would think the league would be more flexible since it’s a safety thing.

Also when Rodgers found his preferred style he wasn’t allowed to share it with other players or some stupid shit. It’s absurd

I do think AB is going well overboard

However, this is still preseason...don't worry, I'll get up to speed! :pound::pound::pound:

I think they're less flexible considering its a safety issue. Which to me makes sense. You can't claim to be all for safety, conduct all these safety tests on equipment, and then let anyone wear whatever, wether it passed the safety tests or not.

O.M.G.

This is, like, the greatest off season story so far.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports Antonio Brown has told the Raiders he will "not play football again" if the league does not allow him to wear his preferred helmet.

Brown has reportedly played hooky from the team since late last week. It was believed he had left to seek a second opinion on his injured feet (he's dealing with severe frostbite from a cryotherapy mishap in France), but apparently the real reason for his absence is that Brown is unhappy over the league's new helmet requirements, a sticking point that has led to a "disconnect" between AB and his bewildered teammates. According to Schefter, Brown feels other helmets impede his vision and has flatly rejected any of the alternatives the Raiders have offered him. The seven-time Pro Bowler filed a grievance over the league's new helmet policy—which was heard during a two-hour phone call on Friday—with a resolution likely coming next week. Brown is a ticking time bomb right now.
