Gotta say I didn't read anything, just looked @ the players mentioned.

Didn't Campbell retire because Bum Phillips ran him into the ground?

Didn't Toon retired due to concussions?

Didn't Bo retire due a degenrative hip issue?

Didn't Sayers retire due to injury?
btw this refers to bo jackson:

In at least one case, it was a bit of both. Only days after deciding to retire, an all-time talent suffered a career-ending injury.

sanders wasn't going to get a championship at detroit, while brown had won a championship and chose to pursue an acting career. there's something to be said for leaving while on top.

That was a shame how Bo's career ended. Easily the best 2-sport athelete I've seen (no disrespect to Deion or Brian Jordan) To this day one of my all time favorite NFL plays was when Bo ran over The Boz.

Whatever you were dealing w/ I'm glad things are getting better. Things have been damn good lately, thanks for asking. And things are about to get better when I start my vacation this Thursday. Don't return to work until the 29th.

Bo had some highlights in the NFL, but not even close to being a hall of famer in any sport, Deion is a Hall of Famer and was pretty great in the 1992 World Series even with playing a broken bone in his foot.

nice. enjoy that shit.

my hell was a failed relationship with a (documented, 2 stays in a clinic) mentally ill woman (bipolar and borderline personality disorder) with a vendetta after a bad argument (only yelling).

ended up in jail, probation for a year and a half, and it cost me 10k between fines, lawyer, "counseling classes" and moving.

all for something she later admitted didnt happen.

Yes, he was once in both. He shouldn't of really been in 1990 in the NFL season, he scored 5 TDs that year. He did have a long TD run that year though

woman came back 3 times, bailed on me each time, over the last 2 years. my heart breaks for that poor girl. i was going to adopt her and give her my name when i married her mother (which was the plan).

wont ever see her again. last saw her in january. miss the shit out of her. she was my lil buddy.

That Sayers injury is harsh. ACL, MCL and meniscus. Too bad because he was lightning fast hitting tge hole. Before I even opened the thread, my first thought was Barry and Jim Brown. Lots of RB's on there. Damn, they take a beating, don't they. Especially Earl. Of course, a lot of his was his own doing. The guy just loved running over people, it seemed. @Wamu , I'm with you on the comment on Bo running over Boz. Even as a Seahawk fan, I laughed about that one for days. Of course, I never liked the hype over Bosworth anyway.

He had the longest runs in 3 of the 4 years he played in the NFL.....A beast, shame he got hurt, crazy talent.....

Speaking of Barry & Brown I have JB # 1 & BS # 2 as far as RB's. No question though Sanders is the best RB I ever saw.
