Very cool! My GF and I and our children would love to hear one of his sermons, one day.

We lost the first game after Skags death which seemed destined
and now tonight for first game back home, Halos combine no hit Ms tonight. Trout HRs in 1st. They score 7 and win 13-0. 7/13 Skaggs birthday
Astros were a team of destiny after Harvey. ....Higher Power has to be involved. Pretty incredible.
Hard to believe we can give up so quickly on a young reliever.
Hopefully we ae giving up on our 2B.

That would be nice.Hopefully we ae giving up on our 2B.
The thought that comes to mind is Solak is someone someone else wants. Perhaps setting up another deal with another team.Hopefully we ae giving up on our 2B.

Possible but when I read the Sullivan article on Solak it seems our scouts think highly of him. Maybe they see some Kinsler in him.Which begs the question, why couldn’t the other team directly acquire him from Tampa? Maybe it’s a division rival?
The other team is an assumption. Tampa needs a relief pitcher and we need a 2b that can hit. Simple. Makes sense.Which begs the question, why couldn’t the other team directly acquire him from Tampa? Maybe it’s a division rival?
He doesn't really have a true position according to some scouts. So the Rangers trade Fairbanks for a 2B.
He isn't a top 100 prospect for any ranking other than Fangraphs and they always seem out of step with everyone else. They have him at 93 overall and 9th in the Ray's system. I don't believe anyone else had him better than 12th in the Ray's system.I love the trade actually.
1) we lose Fairbanks, but we get a top 100 rated prospect for him? Hell yes.
2) he's a righty and our major league roster is way too slanted toward lefties.
3) we have several very good relief prospects in the minors
4) he provides a much needed shot in the arm to our upper level position player talent down on the farm. It needs to be upgraded.
5) it could be seen as a sign that the rangers aren't totally 100% "all in" invested in odor anymore. After he was pretty much a no show for the first half of the last 2 seasons, they shouldn't be.
