No they couldn't... OKC saved some 160M out of this deal...

Yeah, but that's only good to me if they know for sure Kawhi was going to the Lakers or else. Because being in a position for a title is better than saving money. RW and PG gets you into the conversation. They needed some tweaks (which could just be convincing RW to play a little more responsibly, tall task I know) but the point was they were at least in the conversation before. I wouldn't blow it up unless I knew for sure I was out. To me, the only way that happens is if I know Kawhi was going to the Lakers unless I did this deal

lol, trust me, she is...

equally funny is the slew of Lakers haters who are out in force today...

Fun fact: Those Lakers haters you speak of, are Lakers fans. All of you are in 24/7 hater mode. Looking for any perceived slight against the "mighty" Lakers.

No team does what is good for you... They do what is the best for them and they expect you to be happy because they did so... There are always stupid funs around though, who want their team to sink...

Title to OKC with this team? ...Yeah, alright! ...LOL!

Still processing it all. I'm still not convinced OKC had to do this. Also, everyone going nuts over the pick haul, and it is A LOT, but they still should have gotten more players. They had the Clips by the balls. Should have grabbed Shamet and Harrell as well. I'd give up a couple of those picks in exchange for those two

Again, making my argument. There are many teams for many reason that would trade for Russ. You listed the Knicks and Heat..it doesn't really matter if it's because they are desperate or not. That's the whole point

I am not saying teams wouldn’t trade for him.

I am saying you are grossly overstating his value because of his contract.

Some players are worth the super max deal and are still assets. At this point, Russ is not one.

I won’t go so far as to call him a bad contract, but you will see if he gets dealt.

It will be something like:

2 Bad contracts expiring before Russ + good young prospect on SGA level and a pick or 2

He will not return a haul of assets like George did. That I would bet you on.

Apply for GM... They'll take you! ...if they don't all other teams will! ...I'm sure they will! ...you are extremely smart... next Einstein!

No team looking to compete for a championship is trading for Westbrook. He is like Carmelo Anthony — great player, but he is only out for himself and his stats.

Westbrook would definitely help get a team to the playoffs though and help sell some tickets.

Sounds like someone the Knicks would be interested in.

Well at least PG gave it a shot to work in OKC. Could have bolted a season earlier and the Thunder would have ultimately gotten nothing in return. If there’s any silver lining with that for them.

Kawhi, PG and Pat gonna be the best defensive 1-3 by a mile.

But also another superstar punts playing with Westbrook and I’m here for it, lol

Congrats @Mecca you deserve this squad.

I didn't say he would pull as much as George but he would bring a haul of picks

Plenty of teams looking to make the playoffs and sell tickets
