I know he's not the most heralded of the Mariners outfield prospects, but Jake Fraley has been tearing it up this year in AA.

Through 56 games he has 14 doubles, 2 triples, 11 HRs, 45 RBIs, 14 SBs and is hitting .326/.393/.563. Pretty impressive.

Well something had to happen. Hope he figures something out

Pretty bad news considering how weak the organization is with pitching at the major league and minor league level.

Even if all goes relatively right, the projected 2021 rotation doesn't look playoff caliber as of right now.

Im standing by the opinion that 2021 is pipe dream for contention. This team is no where close to being ready in two years. Most of the high ceiling guys they have wont even be ready for the big leagues let alone, ready to contribute. The 2021 idea is strictly Dipoto selling the ownership it wont take as long so they can justify keeping him and they will buy it because they hate replacing their failed hires. But anyway sorry ill try and keep this thread strictly about the minors

This is what I was concerned (because of analysts on MLB network) with Sheffield. They kept saying his future was most likely in the bullpen. Hope he figures it out though because he essentially has to be pitching for the big club next year.

Unfortunately I believe you're right. At this point the Mariners have a league average, maybe slightly above average farm system and most of that talent is all in the outfield. Unless most of the guys in the system vastly outperform expectations (lol), 2021 is definitely a pipe dream.

I have to add that technically this is still about the minors, or at least the future - which is what the minors are supposed to be.

Man that has to be the most disappointing story so far of the 2019 season. The goal was for him to play some AAA ball get his feet wet and warm up just like JP crawford and shed long then bring him up to the majors but this is a huge step back. Seems like 2019 wont be the year he will join the club they are sending him to AA to work on his approach. He looked fine in his debut in AA

He is a dude I’m psyched that got called up to T-town. Kelenic obviously won’t but he and Rodriguez are the other two I want to see in person.

Evan White should also be in Tacoma soon. I've never been to a Rainiers game before but I'd probably make an effort to attend one once he is there. I can't find a game log tracker but I know he was off to a slow start offensively and had a minor injury but now has a 22 game hit streak.

Rainier games are fun. I finally convinced my wife to go and now she is addicted.

I've been meaning to attend one but being up in Seattle it's logistically really challenging for me to get down to Tacoma and back. After losing my friend to a drunk driver I refuse to ever get behind the wheel even after just having one beer - snowballs chance in hell I'd attend a baseball game without drinking -and I also just dislike driving in traffic and always get confused by all the construction down there.
