Boise State moves up a spot in the top 5 for the first time in BCS history

also who would have thought that the BCS rankings would have Boise State higher than I have them???

I think you still need help but I'm all for it as long as it doesn't mean my team suffers for it.

I don't really think Oregon has a shot. Even with 1 loss at the end of the year I don't think it's enough. I'm still hoping the SEC finally actually "just starts beating up on each other" like they keep saying happens. That is your best shot.

LOL!! Craig James is a complete hater

I like how things are going, BCS rankings higher on us than I am

the tool hates us

and finally some upsets

what I'm hoping for is

LSU beats Bama, then loses to Arkansas

Stanford loses to Oregon

Oklahoma State loses to Oklahoma AND Oklahoma loses to Kansas State or someone else

by note of this Kansas State has lost to Oklahoma State

Clemson loses to Georgia Tech or South Carolina

actually this would be quite the mix up

what happens in this scenario???? suddenly Boise State is likely in, who else gets in Oregon?? or does LSU stay in front of Oregon despite the loss??

OU at #9.

Still has #8 and #3 to play.

Oregon at #7 still has #6 to play.

OU wins out and will play for the title. All the need is for Stanford and Clemson to lose.

I'm shooting for the Rose Bowl. The NCG is such a long shot it's not even really worrying about. It's the price you pay for playing #1 in week 1. It is what it is. Getting into the Rose Bowl and actually playing a decent game would be nice.

Sorry, I can't believe Boise is ahead of Clemson. I figured that Stanford would be 4th, Clemson 5th, and Boise 6th. I have absolutely NO CLUE how Boise could even possibly be ahead of my Tigers; no disrespect to Boise, but as of this week, their resume does not compare to Clemson.

CAVEAT: I only expected Clemson to win 8-9 games this year, so anything beyond what we've done would be icing on the cake for my preseason prediction. However, if we don't win at least 10 games, the ACC, and our BCS game, I'll be disappointed. :peace:

yeah you need to finally win one of these, sir

Wisconsin, Michigan State, Nebraska or Ohio State are the teams that you could play

Ohio State could hilariously work their way into this if they somehow beat Wisconsin, because they should win every game after that.

actually maybe Penn State too

FSU losing to Wake Forest and Auburn getting blown out this week didn't help your ranking, sir. The humans have us ahead of you right now and that's the different, while the computers hate Stanford so they're below both of us.

our resume could still increase in the computers because of some of the teams we played OOC who don't have the biggest names but are pretty decent teams

Toledo probably won't lose again and they nearly beat Ohio State and had the refs not interfered they would have beaten Syracuse.

Tulsa got beaten down OOC by us Oklahoma and Oklahoma State, they will likely only lose to Houston the rest of the way though, if they were to upset Houston it would help us greatly.

Nevada while they failed epically against Oregon, they only lost to Texas Tech by one point which is looking great now, they should win the rest of their games, especially since they fixed their quarterback issues.

now we're probably not going to see these teams in the top 25 unless the teams around the top 25 continue to suck. but they will hold good spots

Georgia is a big factor for us, if they win out from here they will be ranked really high and help us a lot. Now when I say win out I mean regular season, if South Carolina doesn't lose again Georgia isn't in the SEC title game. But if they are we just have to hope Georgia puts in a solid performance, they don't have to win but we need them to be close dadburnit.

I'd love another shot at tOSU in the Rose Bowl...

but you sure don't want to lose again to tOSU in the Rose Bowl.

it would be quite hilarious if they do get into the Rose Bowl after losing 24-6 to Miami, and nearly losing to Toledo.

Clemson and Stanford have the games ahead of them to jump BSU.

Stanford controls their own destiny

Clemson needs some help either from the SEC getting weird or Stanford losing.

BSU needs help from both ends.

The rest of us.... to much help to even worry about.

(edit ** I don't think Okie Lite or Kansas State win out)

BTW the chances of any of these scenarios happening are like 27 percent

but one can dream

early evening yesterday I thought our hopes were done after that game against Air Force so I'm excited.

USC owes Stanford some payback however I don't see it happening

I wish ye luck against Luck, sir

but Stanford just has been dominant and I believe that they haven't even shown all they have just yet.

I wonder if Stanford will wait until the 2nd half against Oregon to really show what they have

because Oregon tends to make mistakes and be a bit off in the first half, so Stanford will really show what they got in the 2nd half of that game.

Great points, but the MWC still doesn't compare to the ACC. Clemson plays two of the top 6 teams (Auburn and SCar) OOC. Those two alone are far and away better than any team Boise has on their schedule. I do not want to sound like I am hating on Boise, but their SOS will continue to hurt them until they get in a conference that is an auto BCS. I'll go so far as to say that if Boise State was in the ACC, they would contend for the conference every year, but until they actually prove it on the field, it's all a matter of perception.
