Anything after Calhoun is a waste. Although I believe that Guzman could easily become an asset. Odor, Deshields and Mathis are waiting roster spots

Santana has been great this year and Odor has been dogshit. I’m hoping we keep Santana for the next few years.

Chavez likely worth more to us as a starter than reliever to someone else.

Why bot just sign one or two in the offseason?

Because with so many teams tanking “Astros style” this year, it’s going to be a buyers market in July. The guys you trade to good teams won’t bring as much back as they normally would and the guys you receive from spares or bad teams probably won’t cost as many prospects. The league is very top heavy this year. I don’t think I’ve seen so many “bad” teams in the American League all at once before.

The rangers should look for their starters for the next year or two NOW or at least within the next few weeks.
