Yup ... We are not as far along in the rebuild as the White Sox, but we are in the right direction.

I'll tell you, these rebuilds are brutal. Sox haven't been in the playoffs since 2008, so the word 'rebuild' is pretty hollow.

I refuse to feel bad for a team that chooses to roll with Jason kipnis as a middle of the order hitter.

They do hurt ... but I like your young guys ... I don't want to, but they are good and getting better. Getting rid of Chris Sale was the best thing your team did.

Trading maybe the best pitcher in franchise history, if his projections hold, was a swift kick to the nuts. Don't get me wrong, Sale is a massive douche tool ass clown, but he is damn good. Even his losses are better than most pitcher's starts.

Massive douches and ass clowns hurt a team. We traded Verlander (who is neither) and it was productive for both. Rebuilds are not easy, but sometimes necessary!!

Cubs Making Push For Craig Kimbrel

The Cubs are “pushing hard” to sign free-agent closer Craig Kimbrel, Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports (via Twitter). He’d obviously be a much-needed upgrade for a Cubs ’pen that has been without closer Brandon Morrow all season and has endured numerous other injuries so far in 2019.

If a deal does indeed come to fruition, it’d represent a change of course for the Cubs, who spent the offseason making a series of small-scale additions due to ownership’s claim that the team simply didn’t have the resources to add to the team’s payroll. Kimbrel has been reported to be seeking a three-year pact, so it’s possible that the Cubs could backload a multi-year offer to ease up on the financial burden for the current season, but they’d still pay a 32 percent luxury tax on the average annual value of Kimbrel’s contract. The Cubs’ payroll already tops $213MM, and their luxury-tax payroll (calculated by the combined average annual values of all the contracts on the roster) checks in north of $227MM, per Roster Resources’ Jason Martinez.

No they won't, they're down 3 starters now and their lineup sucks (The last two nights notwithstanding). Do the math. 40-20, 9.5 games up. The Twins didn't put them in a body bag like we should have, but they aren't going anywhere.

This was far and away the worst loss of the season and the Kimbrel news was even worse. But let's pump the brakes before we drive the bandwagon off a cliff.

Really don't have any choices. Owner is cheap and don't have any better alternatives. They had a chance to deal him last year but nobody wanted him lol
