How can you say it's a notion when I posted his shooting #'s from games 2 through 5 against the Bucks? I didn't make those #'s up. He had 4 chances to step up as the # 1 in that series & failed.
Try and follow......we are not talking about him as a #1. You claimed he'll fail in big spots like he always does and I pointed out that when he is not his team's #1 (like when he played with that Lebron fellow) he had some moments where he made big shots and played well in big games.

That's because you are Extreme Guy. Everything is great, always, no doubt, no chance, etc.

No.

Klay Thompson is a better basketball player than Bradley Beal.

I can admit that as a Wizards fan because I am not a blind homer.

Yes, I have. Are you suggesting I'm not and if I watched more carefully the shots he misses would go in?

I am talking about his defense which has been in full display.

He went from shutting down Chris Paul in the first 5 games, to shutting down Eric Gordon while CP3 went off in game 6, to shutting down Lillard.

Elite defensive player regardless of whatever the defensive rating is.

If that Boston roster is supposedly so talented, why could nobody rise to fill a Batman or Robin role next to Kyrie? Gotta look at coaching too, especially when that coach is favoring his former college player, who after injury is still not his former self after a full season.

That roster minus Kyrie and Hayward last year made it to game 7 of the ECF. Fair to say that it's talented. Kyrie usually stunts everyone else's production by going full ISO a lot.

True

Also though, that team might not have made it out of the first round this year. And they definitely don't win a second round series.

The matchups fell just right for them in a really crappy Eastern conference in 2018. All the major players are a lot better this year.

He did fail in a big spot. Did you even watch games 2-5 against the Bucks? I said he failed as the Celtics # 1 option. You understand now? Or do I have to draw an illusration in crayon so you get it? I never said he failed when he wasn't a teams # 1 option. He has the ring to prove it.

And if you try to say he didn't fail as the Celtics # 1 option you're only fooling yourself.

Whoops. Thought he was a FA.

He has a player option for 19 mill (according to basketball reference)....he ain't declining that since his next contract won't be close to that.

agreed...

it'll be a cold day in Hell before Pop ever gives the Lakers a helping hand...

that's a deep-rooted hatred i can respect...:D
You see that contract as helping?

I love Demar.

But, my man can't help you in the category that you need it most.

Shooting.

He's Mr. Mid-range though....

True. But, that would be the 2nd star James needs....they could always add somebody like Korver to add outside shooting.

Not that I think we would be able to trade with SA....just hypothetical.....

I will take Klay Thompson over Bradley Beal 100 times out of 100.

Yeah, I really like Beal and would love for the Lakers to trade for him if they don't trade for AD or get one of the big time FA's.

But given a choice between Klay and Beal, I'm taking Klay without hesitation.

Ummm, is this really up for debate?

Beal does one thing really well.

Klay does that very same thing equally as well and plays lockdown defense.

Gross over exaggeration of the gap in talent...

But, Ben Simmons plays good defense and can thread the needle on offense.

Yet, I'd still take old man LeBron over him everyday of the week and 3 times on Sunday because of his shooting allergies.

No, it wouldn't.

LeBron and Demar are not getting you passed the Warriors.

Not even a Durant-less Warriors.

I'd rather have Butler with James if it didn't cost me a 4 year max.

I don't think it was up for debate but people on here don't understand that All NBA is an individual award for that season alone. They out here comparing players careers as a whole which never been a requirement to make the All NBA team

What is the point of All NBA if you're comparing players entire careers?

Wouldn't we basically have the same 15 players every year then?

Beal just avg 25,5,5 on 47% shooting. You can easily make the case that he had a better season than Klay.

I'm sure Klay wouldn't have gotten the Wizards much further considering Wall missed most of the season and Dwight barely played
