He has had his good moments in Minny for sure. Last year was a bit rough for him though with the injuries and such. Time to move on I suppose. Good luck to him with the Tomahawks.

I don't know what to say about this catching nonsense. The Twins have known for years that this day would come, yet now that it's here there is no bona-fide replacement for Mauer, just a bunch of what-ifs and maybe's. The Twins should adopt a new team name: the Band-Aids. The whole team is held together by band-aids. That darned Gardy, it's all his fault!!! (What does Terry Ryan do, anyways??)

Outdoor football during the winter here would be cruel and unusual punishment. The Fargodome is great. The Bison are all set up for a big three-peat championship. What a run they have had and going undefeated all the way this year would be awesome. Been a fun team to follow the last few years.

There are some little rumors floating around about a possible reunion with Johan Santana.

Not sure what to think of that. The Mets aren't having him back for a reason but the nostalgia of his days in MN make you think, "What if..."

Bummer that Jack Morris didn't make it in. I was hoping he would.

I know his numbers aren't as strong as most HOF pitchers but he had intangibles that tip the scales for me.

I was kind of surprised too. Jack will probably get in under the old-timers vote. I have no idea how to draw the line on all the very good players who could get consideration but I suspect that personal popularity really plays into a lot of it. Jack could get a little crabby with the media, that probably came back to haunt him.

For sure! The Twins stadium is getting a big remodeling right now. It'll be pretty cool this Spring and then totally done and awesome for 2015. It's a good time, I have to admit it!

Went out to the Twins caravan Monday night in Fargo. Got to meet Plouffe, Swarzak and HOF'er Bert Blyleven. Was really cool to meet Bert for sure.

My bro-in-law is a bigfoot enthusiast and found out that Swarzak is as well. My bro-in-law brought a signed copy of the Minnesota bigfoot hunters guide to give him and I think Swarzak was more excited than he was for his first MLB start! It was hilarious and he truly loved it. Good times.
