This is actually my first Mariners game in a while. Past 4 or so years I probably went to 6-12 games a year, but that was mostly a product of having a friend who got me club level seats for free.

I bash Servais plenty but good on him for sticking with Elias last night. Guy was pitching well and in the zone so he rode the hot hand. Its that kind of out of the box thinking that I like to see from a manager occasionally. Not this 8th inning guy, 9th inning guy stuff; especially when you have no one you can trust in your pen.

True, but this where I will always disagree with analytics. It takes something mental to be the closer. Use your best pitcher in the best situations is great on paper. But something about those last 3 outs consistently isn’t about what’s on paper or realistically talent. Mariano Rivera wasn’t anymore talented than 99% of the bullpen arms in his entire era.

As long as fans keep going to games and spending their money at the pink panther, we won't ever have a winning team. Owners have no motivation to change things up. It's like this: IF IT AIN'T BROKE, WHY BOTHER TO FIX IT. Problem with that philosophy is that they are so off base, they can't even see that it is, in fact, broke. They're making their money so who the fuck cares?

Man this is embarrassing I really hate this they are playing with no motivation I will say this though all our ass kickings so far game against playoff teams with good rosters like the Astros, Yankees, Red Sox, Twins, Padres, Indians, and Cubs.

So after we get our asses beat today and tomorrow the next 13 games will be against the A's, Rangers and Angels if we get our asses beat from them then its over
