ARYA STARK (season 1 - season 8 episode 4)
-- spends decades honing her warrior skills
-- obsesses every day over her kill list
-- spends months in torturous training with a guild of super killers whose entire foundation is about the cost of actions
-- leaves the guild with a better understanding of the ethical and real consequences of vengeance and murder
-- murders everyone who ever crossed her afterwards without pause
-- fully comprehends and plans her every action building to a final revenge kill

ARYA STARK (season 8 episode 5)
-- listens to a 10 second patronizing Sandor Clegane surrogate father advice schmaltzy soapbox diatribe
-- immediately sees everything in a new perspective and abandons her entire life's goal #1 revenge target

The speed of the heel-turn of Dany Mad Queen has nothing on the speed of Arya's character arc change

Not necessarily agreeing with this one...Arya is shown to stand up for the weak vs. the strong since the beginning....lest the reason why Joffrey has Sansa's direwolf killed.

I think the midget kills Dani

I think the contrary. I believe I will be referring to the campfire s'mores I make with my kids when we going camping in a few weeks as "Tyrions."

I’m feeling unsatisfied and kinda done with GOT. I’ll finish but the chances of me revisiting these series later is getting very slim. I’m just starting to not care.

I'm not "fighting" for him. I just think that the advice was solid. It could be his fault for not seeing that she had turned already, I suppose.
And nothing we saw showed that. Apparently Varys saw it off camera or something.

So Arya was destined to kill people brown, blue, and green eyes.

She's killed several people with brown eyes. And we all know that she killed some blue eyes. So has she killed any green eyed people? Cause...

Was just saying to the wife I think we are in a golden age of TV and the criticism of such is a bit rough at times

It's not the epic story telling of the first five or six seasons but we got people crying over Avengers...

This is what I think, but I really freaking hope not. The good news is that I've been basically wrong about everything else, so there's no way I'm right about Arya killing Dany.

Just curious, since I see everyone bitching about the “fast travel”, did they ever say how long it took for the armies to get there? Did you want two episodes and 3 hours dedicated to them just walking and saying how long it takes? I would prefer they jump to the actual fighting rather than taking the Dragon Ball Z 6 episodes of filler.

Meh, Jon got brought back to life for a reason. I doubt that it was just to be killed by Dany. It's probably the opposite, the Stark code forces him to kill Dany.

My perspective is that the reason Jon was brought back was to rally the humans against the white walkers. He did that by bringing Dany and the armies of the living to fight the NK threat. Now his purpose for being brought back has been served and it's time to pay the piper.

Only death can pay for life

"Every time a Targareyen is born the God flip a coin".

We've seen 6 Targaryens in the series (2 in flashbacks). Rhaegar, Aemon, and Jon/Aegon are all good. The mad king Aries and his son Viserys both went crazy. It makes sense that Daenerys would also go crazy making it 50% of the Targeryens that appeared on the show going crazy.

Although it might seem a bit rushed how it went down this episode, they've been setting this up for a while. She no longer has Jorah or Selmy to talk her out of this type of thing. Grey Worm was never really one to give advice but he wasn't in the most rational state of mind himself. She's been getting annoyed with Tyrion's advice. We also have to keep in mind Missandei's last word. I doubt she meant for Daenerys to burn innocents but she basically told Daenerys to burn these fuckers to the ground.
I don't know if anyone else mentioned it but they did a first time ever (I think) previously seen on segment where the clip wasn't actually directly from the show where they had Dany on screen and had all those old voice-overs essentially saying she might be crazy. That was a pretty obvious hint.

Holy sh*t dude...I'm in tears right now. I just read there's actual people that named their kid(s) "Daenerys" or "Khaleesi."
Well she's not the only khaleesi....

She had a list of those she went to sleep reciting, those she would kill and get revenge on. She wasn't doing it to help the weak, she was out to take care of those who wronged her.

She will not be killing the Night King in the books, I am sure of that.

Book Arya goes for Cersei

I feel bad for Starbucks misspelling all of Dany's names.
That is gonna be some roasted coffee!
