Nothing can top 13-9
Nothing...
Worse loss in the history of WVU football.

Nope,
Most PAINFUL.. sure (though the ND loss in the NC game was its equal imo) but Pitt football > Kansas football, far worse loss was to KU imo.
Shows how far wvu football had fallen under luck and Holgorsen that we were 7 point favored over Kansas. Spitt football at their worst is head and shoulders better than KansasWe were 28.5 pt favorites over Pitt.
We were 7 pt faves over KU.

Yeah... the ‘13 season was a mess. Billy Stewart left the cupboard so bare, Dana had barely enough kids to field a team by the end of the season.
Thank the lord we had Luck... who was smart enough to fire Billy and hire Dana. Can you imagine what our program would have looked like with Billy and his anemic offense playing in the Big 12?
Dana put WVU football back into the national limelight.
I am not convinced and I am sure that DAD would agree. While Dana brought offensive innovation, recruiting sagged, and the Defense sucked most years. Looking at the records of Dana, I believe that HCBS would have had similar success in the B12. He may have even been able to beat Oklahoma... again.

Wv is about to have 6 kids get drafted...its NEVER happened in Wv football history...
But the team could only muster up 8 wins with all that talent.
When you look at the recruiting rankings for both coaches, HCBS takes the crown.
Remember this is a post dedicated to Dad![]()
With the defense WVU played under coach Stewart, we may well have won the B12, in case you forgot, Holgorsen's best year at WVU was with those bare cupboard bums...........Can you imagine what our program would have looked like with Billy and his anemic offense playing in the Big 12?
THAT speaks volumes about the lack of effective coaching that was taking place, loads of talent, but our strength program and work ethic were sorely lacking......
