And has literally twice as much overall coaching experience.Lol a coach that's literally 6 years older than that is your head coach now.

Lincoln Riley is 35. His age doesnt seem to hold him back.Lol a coach that's literally 6 years older than that is your head coach now.
It doesn't change the argument I'm making. My point wasn't to shit on ND. And while I do somewhat enjoy that, the overall message was that considering how hard it is to come out of the dumpster, we've done really well in the first 4 years but we're still missing that signature moment. But throwing the baby out with the bathwater would turn us into Tennessee.
FYI, I don't give a shit what Michigan does with Harbaugh, but I will make fun of the fact he hasn't won shit at the fbs level.
Lol a coach that's literally 6 years older than that is your head coach now.

I actually used it correctly - 16 years vs. 8 years.Grrrrrrrrrumph.
It belongs just fine. He is literally just 6 years older. And no, not figuratively 6 years older. Not figuratively?
People need to quit shoehorning that word into sentences it doesn't belong in.
I didn't bring up age. Only experience. Gattis' age was brought up as a negative by one of your own, I was pointing out that your own coach is only 6 years older.Lincoln Riley is 35. His age doesnt seem to hold him back.
I actually used it correctly - 16 years vs. 8 years.
But I agree with your overall sentiment.
It belongs just fine. He is literally just 6 years older. And no, not figuratively 6 years older.
"Literally
in a literal manner or sense; exactly."
It sounds like your point of contention is my use of it to put emphasis on the statement.
Yet despite being only 6 years older, he has a much more impressive career resume.I didn't bring up age. Only experience. Gattis' age was brought up as a negative by one of your own, I was pointing out that your own coach is only 6 years older.
It did.It doesn't emphasize, dipshit, you just think it does.
Impressive resume? He was a positions coach for like 15 years, a Co-OC a couple times and then an OC on his own for a single season.Yet despite being only 6 years older, he has a much more impressive career resume.
And again, it was funny that you thought it was "exciting" that Gattis would be a full-time playcaller, something he's never done, on a less-talented team. Yet you called Day a "high school coach". Just pointing out your hypocrisy.
He was actually the OC at Boston College in 2013/2014, taking an offense that was 110th in efficiency in 2012 to 48th in 2013 and 32nd in 2014. Then he was a successful QB coach in the NFL for 2 years, then he came to OSU and helped revived JT Barrett's career in 2017 and while full-time OC coached a record-breaking QB in 2018, while going 3-0 as HC for 3 games.Impressive resume? Gattis' time at Penn State was pretty impressive. He was actually the OC at Boston College in 2013/2014, taking an offense that was 110th in efficiency in 2012 to 48th in 2013 and 32nd in 2014. Then he was a successful QB coach in the NFL for 2 years, then he came to OSU and helped revived JT Barrett's career in 2017 and while full-time OC coached a record-breaking QB in 2018, while going 3-0 as HC for 3 games.
What exactly has Gattis done?
The first post you're quoting is my reply to this:I replied to your first quote where it looks like you are discussing age.
As far as experience Riley has about 14 years experience before getting HC and he is doing well. Day had 17 with some time in the NFL belt being HC. Just for reference Harbs had 2. You "experience" arguments holds no water.
Yes the post discusses experience but you only focused on age in what I quoted. My post stands. The first post you're quoting is my reply to this:
"
Love how the 34 year old with 6 years of being a WR coach is now an "exciting" guy to call all offensive plays, something he's never done, yet the 40 year old with high-level college OC experience, NFL coaching experience, who has been sought after for other OC/HC jobs for the past several years is a "high school coach".
"
Maybe Harbaugh should stop making quarterbacks into tight ends when he is so short on QBs and he should making offers to the #1 quarterback recruit in the country who grew up an hour from Ann Arbor, grew up a Michigan fan and wanted to play for Michigan.Harbaugh needed a transfer QB from a benched player in Iowa to even succeed in year one. We didn't have a healthy roster. And when he left, we had a single 3 star QB on roster who somehow we still did OK with. Our offensive line was in shambles, we were playing like 3 freshman. It's taken a second to fix those things through recruiting.
