If we're going to be honest, McCain as a prez candidate was essentially the male version of Hillary. Bland, boring and quite frankly not a very good candidate. BTW: I'm not comparing the two based on their historical deeds and misdeeds, just as presidential candidates.
Let’s be honest , McCain was an asshole to the press until he started up on Trump

How do you define a "fantastic" job? who was the last President to make the environment at priority? What are other options are you comparing these great strides to? IF none, then how can you define the effort as fantastic?

It's easy, I am old enough to remember when the environment was in terrible shape. Lake Erie caught fire, car emissions were really fucking up the air. Through laws and regulations enacted by the Feds, the EPA specifically but not limited to just them as well as massive fed spending on cleanup, the environment is in much better shape now than it was in 1970. I have no idea why this is even debatable. And most of the improvements came because the Federal Government, starying with LBJ and ending with our current President, made it a priority because they understood the importance.

Now we have a President trying to undue 50 years of progress. Again I have no idea why we are even debating that this is not a good thing.

Well, if you would take a breath and read what I and others have posted, no one is debating if taking care of the planet is a good thing. That's is all you see because thats what you want to see. What I and others are trying to get you to consider is that there may be other options to achieve the same results with more efficiency and effectiveness. Just because funding as a line item may have been cut doesn't mean that clean up efforts are dropped. It may just mean that they are considering other funding methods. Tax incentives to companies to invest in these efforts, for example. But you hate for Trump automatically goes to "he doesn't care about the environment" with out investigating the Administration's full position.

Exactly whats foolish?? The people of Florida VOTED to restore the rights of these people to vote. Now the GOP of Florida wants to put restrictions or obstacles in the way of their ability to vote. Its nothing short of a poll tax designed to ensure that these people still cant vote, or at a minimum make it so difficult for them to actually vote as to prevent them from having an impact on the 2020 vote.

Again Obama cut this and you were silent !

So how the hell did it start with Trump ?

This last budget Trumpn SIGNED it gave 300 million to the clean up !!!!!

You are whining about a budget that isn’t signed yet. . And again if Obama felt it wasn’t important enough to warrant the expense then why tell falsehoods on Trump ?

So far he hasn’t cut a damn thing !

And you want to talk about water and clean up you leave out flint and the Obama disaster committed by his EPA !

It assumes no such thing. It does point out that the black electorate would be most impacted. BUt as i stated, the real issue in my opinion is, ts is a measure designed to say.. well we know what the people of the state of Florida voted for, but we feel thats not good for the party. So lets limit that a bit.

This article is written for clueless millennials. Those of us who were around knew Patty was a leftist who publicly embarrassed her father on more than one occasion. He was horrified by HER But the dishonest WAPO at it again

So if FLa voted to allow Floridians to vote and it’s some GOP conspiracy to keep the will of floridians , then isn’t the democratic scheme to do away with the electoral college the same thing ? If Florida’s goes GOP and California goes dem the CA. Votes counts more ?

Yet another GOP move where the will of the people only matters when its the people they like

Florida GOP pushes ugly scheme to stop black people from voting

Florida Republicans are doing all they can to keep more black people in their state from voting.

In the 2018 election, Florida voters overwhelmingly passed a measure that restored voting rights to people convicted of felonies after they have served their time. It was a huge win for racial justice; because black people are arrested and jailed at a disproportionate rate, keeping former felons from voting also meant keeping nearly 20 percent of African Americans in Florida from voting.

The new law restores voting rights for nearly 1.5 million people in Florida, 418,000 of whom are black.

But now Republicans in the state legislature are attempting to trample on those rights, with a proposal that would force Americans who have served their sentences to pay back all court fines and fees before they can register to vote.

And for the record, while the article points out how Black voters will be directly impacted. To me its more about the GOP doing whatever they can to prevent people who might vote against them from voting at all.

I see no problem at all with this, they should have to pay all that back, and when they do they’ll realize in order to do so. They’re going to need people like trump running this country so they can afford to do this. Not fruit loops like AOC and Bernie who wants to control their lives and take all they earn and their freedoms from them
